I kind of like that the title is lame in the same vein that 'Homecoming' was lame too when it was announced. And then when the movie comes out.. Boom! See what happens when u judge a book by its cover or title, in this instance?
Hopefully this captures the same magic.

I quite like the title, but would have been fine with Field Trip as well.

It sounds like the title of a Spidey story in that it sounds innocuous enough but has a deeper meaning.

It’s obvious the third one will be called Spider-Man: Homeward Bound

Kevin Feige himself officially confirmed that filming starts in two weeks at the AMATW press conference today.

Spidey 3 will be Spiderman: Homework....

Come on, its just obvious now, isn't it?

I think it should be called ‘Spider-Man: home if you want to. Home around the world”

On a serious note though, feige said the name had a double meaning. I reckon this will be the movie that officially moves peter out of the mcu and into the Sony verse

Feige confirmed the title, I think we can finally change the forum title as well

That would make me very sad. :csad:

Highly doubtful

Spider-Man 2 Title Confirmed By Marvel’s Kevin Feige

“[It’s] similar [to Spider-Man: Homecoming],” he [Feige] told CinemaBlend. “I won’t say what the meanings are, but we enjoy that title because, like Homecoming, it is full of alternate meaning. And we liked continuing the ‘Home’ thing, with the little Spidey symbol in the ‘Home.'”

I guess it's official now then.

I think the title probably also refers to how, even though they're working with Sony, Spider-Man is still far from home, especially when Sony continue to try to pump out other adjunct films like Venom or Silver and Black.

You guys are looking way too much into the title.

I'm sure the double meaning is due to what happened to him in Infinity War.

The first one was a meta commentary on how Spider-Man had come home to Marvel though, even though it also referred to the Homecoming dance within the movie, or the emotional low he experienced after he came home from the airport battle in Civil War. It doesn't only have to be a double meaning. It can be multiple meanings beyond the films themselves.

ugh, they're really leaning into the thing where Spidey is out of his element. But we haven't really even seen him in his element yet in the MCU.

The first movie took him to DC. This one to London I think they said?

What's wrong with keeping him in NYC for just one whole movie?

I don't particularly dig the title, but whatever, that went for Homecoming too. It's fine.

The Garfield movies kinda ****ed it all up in terms of going the "The Amazing Spider-Man" route, would have been pretty nice to get some "Amazing", "Spectacular", "Ultimate" title trilogy for the MCU.

This all makes perfect sense for a highschool Peter though, just go with origina unestablished titles.

Title is meh, but the movie being good is more important.

Hopefully being far from home also means he's far removed from mentioning "Mr.Stark..." at the beginning of every other sentence. :o
