Sequels Spider-Man franchise re-boot? Possibly according to...

I would definitely like a reboot! The Goblin deserves justice like Joker did. Spidey should face an enemy like Scorpion, Shocker, or Chameleon in the first picture. Not his greatest enemy. Not to mention the fact of his appearance.

Just so you know

Reboot =/= Origin story

Just because a series gets a reboot, doesnt mean there starting over from the begining. For instance, the new Hulk movie is a reboot but it doesnt start the origin and everything from scratch. There just taking another approach to the Hulk. Hell there even alluding it might be a semi sequel, since Bruce is starting out in South America (where he ended in Hulk 03). There just not gonna referance the previous movie.

The Spidey movies can still have a Reboot (as in a new direction) and still continue from SM3.

It's nothing factual. Read the comments section.

Yea, that's why I said he alludes to it, and that's it's interesting and kinda fun to share. You can't get the vibe in there that I knew that?

:whatever:

A Spider-Man re-boot? I don't think it's really necessary, but it is an interesting idea. Just do another sequel without alluding to anything that happened in the first three films.

I think it may be the best option for Spidey-4. But the problem with that idea, for me, is that I feel that summer of 2010 or even 2011 is too soon for a re-boot. And to do a proper re-boot, you need to breath without the character or franchise for a while, which would be very hard for me to do. I want a movie as soon as possible. This franchise is in such an interesting and confusing stage. It's still extremely popular, still broke box office records during its last installment, but a cast and crew that will likely have little interest in returning (except Jameson). And I know there are more stories and villains to tell, but obviously, some of the most popular baddies have been featured in a film. (except lizard and carnage, but I don't see him in a spidey- 4).

This is a big mistake.

There's really no reason you can't do a great sequel that stands alone as its own new movie, sets up for a new trilogy going in a new direction, while still acknowledging what happened in the previous three movies without hitting us over the head with it every five minutes.

Just because you might not like one aspect of a "franchise" movie, you don't have to instantly shout "REBOOT IT!"

So we should listen to a blogger just because Rob M. Worley has kindly given him space?

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

4th, 5th, and 6th movie yes, but no to a reboot! I'm tired of remakes, reimaginings, and reboots. Make new movies. Write new stories.

Ah, the Batman Begins curse. It is still alive and kicking.

Not going to happen. Perhaps recasting and a new image is very likely, but a full on reboot is not in the cards at this time, I can almost guarantee. And TIH is a full on reboot. New origin and everything in it. LL has even stated that.

Just because some fans didn't like SM3, doesn't mean studios are going to stop their billion-dollar franchise and restart just to please a small percent of the general audience.

Say what you want about SM3 but it made world records at the box office. And honestly, no matter whether you think its going to be good or not, no one on these boards will be able to resist seeing a Spider-Man film.

Not happening.
I wasn't all that thrilled with Spidey 3, but I seriously doubt they'll restart the whole thing because a few of us weren't impressed with the latest outing.

A Reboot eh? I don't know if I like the idea. Just give the three sequals I'm fine with that.

I dont understand the purpose of a Spiderman franchise robot.

You don't need to understamd it, because it's not happening. I'll give you 2.4 Billion reasons why.

It's too soon to reboot. You'd have to wait a decade for a proper reboot.

Ah, the Batman Begins curse. It is still alive and kicking.

batman begins is just meh for me...its good, but seriously overrated IMO...its so "realistic" yet so many unrealistic things happen in it....it just tries to hard....IMO...

anyways i think a sort of reboot would be cool...do a sort of superman returns type of idea (yeh i know a lot of people hate that movie) but what i mean is just make a movie where hes already spidey...we dont need the origen again..just a stand alone spidey 4 that can go off into another 2 sequels. new cast..new director...new pacing etc. get people excited about it again.

i LOVE the spidey movies, but 3 just seemed a little tired for me...oh look someones in danger...cue the music...here's spidey...saves the day...peter cries....someones in danger...cue the music....save the girl....cry.....funny scene where peter gets the short end of the stick...peter cries...then save the day and learn a profound lesson

something new would be cool is all

I´m all for a Re- boot ,get Spielberg and Jackson as Director and Producer, let Weta make the FX,cast Le Bouf or what ever this Guy from Transformers/Indy is called as Parker, give Peter/Spidey the personality from the Comics and you will have a Spidey movie that gives you a Fan gasm everytime you watch it.

Spielberg or Peter Jackson, not gonna happen, a fanboys wet dream is all that this will remain. No Le Bouf, EVER, not only because I despise him, and everytime I see him it reminds me of the Disney show Even Stevens, but he has Transformers 2, thank God. I'd love for WETA to handle the special effects, but Sony is too greedy to let that happen, even if it'll improve on the FX.

I think a loose sequel ala Batman Forever and Goldeneye is enough. Get new actors, new story arc, new look, and a new director . Maybe set up the next trilogy of films with Lizard , Vulture and Electro as villians maybe with Kingpin pulling the strings as he did in the 90's cartoon . Maybe give Spiderman a Bloefeld as it were . I know there are legal issues but if they could work them out the audience isn't gonna care if he was in DD as long he's a good villian.
