Into the Spider-Verse Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Oh they are making part 1 and part 2 at the same time so yeah part 2 is likely 2023 awesome! 2023 we are getting spiderman 2 on ps5 has well.

 

That animation is so gorgeous. And TWO parts?!? Hyped AF.

 

I honestly forget were I saw this mentioned, but I did check it out for myself.

Oh My God...

I think the thing that really stood out to me was Miles' hair. Even more than him and Miguel shifting styles at the end, that is some impressive animation. And I do really like Miles and Gwen's new suits, ballet slippers not withstanding. Can't wait to see the designs of other spiders and villains. The first had some real fun with reinvention of villains.

If Spider-Carnage is the big bad, I will freak.

 

Yeah, I noticed that too when I heard it. That’s a deep cut. Wouldn’t be surprised if Pemberton wasn’t intentionally invoking that theme. They also both take place in the future, so there’s that as well.

 

I’m trying to go through my backlog of stuff I’ve been meaning to watch, along with a rewatch of all of The Matrix films (including The Animatrix) leading up to Resurrections, but I’m definitely going to make it a point to watch Into the Spider-Verse again before NWH comes out. Never get tired of it.

 

It’s pretty funny looking back at the early parts of this thread and seeing all the negative reactions to the announcement of a Sony made animated Spider-Man movie juxtaposed to how well received it turned out with humongous hype for (two!) sequels.

I seriously hope ATSV lives up to its predecessor unlike another sequel to a Lord-Miller film…

*cough* THE LEGO MOVIE 2 *cough*

 

I truly believe what the world is seeing this weekend just wouldn't have been possible without this movie.
