It's looking likely that John Paesano (Daredevil, Defenders, The Maze Runner) will be composing the score for this. He's been tweeting a lot about the game, and that usually means it's a project he's working on.

Short video with the actor providing voice of Spidey.....

Rewatched the GI show out of curiosity and caught something I missed last time:

Bryan Intihar said that they will not reveal WHERE Peter works until the game ships.

Horizon is too obvious. And why even save that? What surprise is him working at the company he creates in the comic? Doesn't make sense.

Oscorp is practically off the list because as Andrew Reiner stated: Harry's side missions have you checking in on Oscorp projects for him while he is overseas.

So...what could it be...?

I'm thinking Stark Industries. I think Peter works with Tony Stark who helps him develop the "advanced suit", as Insomniac calls it. The Avengers Tower, the Sanctum Santorum, and the Wakandan Embassay are all in-world...what says they can't fit in a Tony Stark or two? I'm not even sure he would appear on-screen. Maybe Peter is "house-sitting" for him, haha

And it sounds like MJ being a journalist means she is probably working at the Bugle which imo probably rules out Peter working there too.

I'd say that Peter working for Tony is a good bet. But I also remember there's a small clip in one of the trailers/footage of Peter shaking hands with Li. I wonder if that might also be a possibility or even a clue that he's meeting Li based on his employment.

They've already confirmed that Peter is a scientist in this game. So unless the Bugle is hiring in the sciences, I'd say that also rules that out.

The scene with Li is more likely just a handshake. Li owns FEAST, where Aunt May works.

When they said they wouldn't say where Peter works my mind also went to Stark Industries, I think it's a good possibility given that it hasn't happened in the comics. Same for MJ at the Bugle. That'd actually be a bit of a role reversal given MJ was recently working for Stark and Peter was traditionally at the Daily Bugle.

Really trivial, but I really hope the developers give the player the ability to make the hud (heads up display) transparent or remove it from the screen altogether.
The reason being, heads up displays that are static and on screen for hours can cause burn in and I have an OLED TV which is particularly susceptible to image burn in/retention. It's a small detail on the part of the developers but would help me out a lot.

I’ve never played a spider-man game and I am beyond excited to play this. Can this damn deal go through so I can get a great X-Men game too(yeah I’m greedy)? Also between this and Spyro Imma need a few days off in Sep.

If you're talking about the Fox/Disney buy out, Marvel don't need that to happen for them to make X-men games. The Fox licensing for X-men only extends to the movies.

Spider-Man always loves his cranes

....and his pipe....

Laura Bailey tweets a lot about the game too. I think she's MJ.

The pipe is a rare thing. The crane man, it's all about cranes.

I wonder if C. Thomas Howell will reprise his famous role as the great Spider-Man supporting character Crane Dad in this game.

I wouldn't mind seeing a joke about that, involving him.
Because of that scene, I paid more attention to cranes in other movies (Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3) and games like Enter Electro.

Considering he's working as a scientist...Baxter Building maybe?

I'm going to guess that he's a teaching assistant in college. He worked on projects with Doctor Connors and other professors there as a grad student for a while.

Ahh ok, didn't know that about May working at FEAST, so yeah, that is likely Peter is meeting Li based on that connection.

Personal preference but I really hope it's not Horizon. I've never been a fan of that Slott creation.

Stark or Banner or even the suggested assistant to Connors are all better choices.

Still, it's intriguing to wonder why his employment is being kept a secret until release.

Maybe it's actually not Horizon.

Is it just me or does this game look like a sequel to TASM? The gameplay mechanics seem VERY similar to those games

So what edition is everyone going to grab? I think I’m going for the digital deluxe.

It absolutely does and I don't consider that a bad thing at all.

The combat in this game mirrors what Beenox did with the ASM games and that is copying the free form style of the Arkham games. Of course it wasn't as good more like a lite version but many including myself have always argued that style of combat is perfect for Spidey. And it looks like Insomniac has made notable improvements.

Same with the web swinging. It has the look and feel of the Beenox games, web rush mechanic included and again imo this is a good thing. Beenox despite their faults, mostly a low budget and time constraints, they were really on the right track as far as the idea portion of developing how Spider-Man should move around. And again, Insomniac has taken what Beenox started and at least to me looks like they improved it.
