Playstation Spider-Man (PS4) - Part 3

I love the music in this game, as I stated. However, I have to note the amazingness of the open world music. I love how when you stop moving there is a neat end cue that plays and when you start moving again it slowly picks up. It is always familiar and different. Hope all of it is released.

My fave was when I was on a skyscraper and the music had cut off, I started running and the choir slowly built and then I jumped and it got all heroic and loud. I should have saved that clip but I was so wrapped in the game.

Also the sound design. The sound of running on windows (reminds me of Spider-Man 2002), hearing the cage fence sounds when standing on roof vents, the rubbing of his glove when you come to a crawl after running on a window. Just so much.

Can somebody tell me where the Times Square is? I am fighting a certain villain and I'm trying to lead him there for some nice screenshots. ='D

*Edit*

Never mind, it's ok, I forgot I can check the landmarks.

so I cleared the opening mission last night. and while swinging around the city and punching bad guys is fun, idk, something just feels "off" to me.

maybe it's because I'm used to swinging from past games, but this way of swinging and moving around the city doesn't feel quite intuitive to me. yet.

also, is it just me but does Spidey feel a bit "heavy" or "stiff" in combat? Something about some of the animations just don't seem quite as "fluid" as Spidey in past games.

oh, and while clearing out Kingpin's men, I found myself using the same basic combinations of attacks and dodges. as you level up the combat, do more moves become available ( besides the gadgets )?

Alright, some screenshots of my favorite villain...
Taskmaster.

I hope he shows up again in a sequel or one of the Episodes. And I want him to have a much larger role. Or at least get a super awesome scripted boss battle.

If he shows up again, I really hope they increase his arsenal. I really want to fight Taskmaster again, when he's equipped to the teeth with gear and weapons. I want him to use all the Avenger Moves on me.

Looks great. Reminds me of Phantasm from Batman

As someone who has played about every Spidey game on a regular basis, give it some time. It does feel a bit odd at first, but once you get the hang of it, damn. Be sure to use the diving feature and the web zip. I think this is the most fluid, smooth looking Spidey game ever. Even when I mess up swinging sometimes and hit something, it still fixes itself and looks cool.

You level up your dodges to add some web shots etc. Go to the skills menu. You can see what all you can add attack wise.

Today I'm hitting this game hard. Gonna play it ALL DAMN DAY.

By the way, are landmark tokens highlighted on the map like the backpacks?

Also, while I have some aesthetic issues with this Spider-Man, I love the personality. Good dialogue and quips.

Two words for future players: Spider-Cop.

I found what appears to be a Blackcat stash? There's a little cat toy and a paiting of her face. But I can't interact with it. Are these story activated?

I’ve seen two murals but don’t know what to do with them...

Sorry I meant what's the name of the 'in-game' piece of music that reminded you of the piece of music from the film ?

I think he meant just the chase in general.

The choir bits in the city are very Elfman though

So, something fun happened. I threw my favorite villain off the roof and... I think the fight is over? ='D

^Shouldn’t he get webbed up to the side? Haha

I swear that doesn't always happen. If it does, they end up in a spot where it wouldn't make logical sense for them to be. I have knocked them off and never found the body. But no body, no murder amirite?

Also can we talk about how if you dodge machine gun fire, they will blast the HELL out of their fellow thug and blood flies everywhere?? lmao

So any tips on the Blackcat stuff? I wanna start finding these things so I can get that black suit.

I do really like the background music, especially when just swinging around or looking at the map, sets a nice atmosphere.
