Playstation Spider-Man (PS4) - Part 3

That's actually funny, because for someone who isn't playing the game you frequent this thread more than most who are.
Yeah, I like the discussions here. If I was playing the game, I'd probably visit a lot less cause of all the times I retry some tasks and quests.

Loving the nice little nods n' winks to Spider-Man universe lore that has appeared thus far and the touches too from other CBM's and other films have been great so far.

So far, I've caught the nods to other films as....

Die Hard, Kick-Ass, TDK, Spider-Man 1&2 - Raimi. (I'm sure there will be many more before the end)

WatchMojo's countdown to top ten costumes. Nice to see which got in on the game choices.

As Spider-Punk, my favorite thing to do is jumping off a tall building and doing the guitar aoe from the top. It's exactly what a superhero rockstar would do. He starts strumming in the air, then drops for the finish with the ground crumbling. Especially if you can get the drop on some breaking & entering.

Aye, having the 'super-hero' landing, in any costume, is a major plus.

What's everyone's favorite combat move?

Doesn't matter how many times I've done this but webbing up an enemy then either throwing him, kicking him or Web swing kicking him into a wall and sticking him there keeps making me smile. So fun and bad ass at the same time.

I love using the wall bounce attack. Where you perch on the wall for a second and bound off during combat. Swing kick is great too. Also I love just using the web throws on manhole covers and stuff.

Yeah I love the web throws on environmental stuff. Trash cans, sewer grates, even things like car doors and motorcycles lol. Its great fun pummeling thugs with that stuff.

Yes!! The wall perch attack is easily in my top 3

This game is ridiculously addictive, I found the Taskmaster missions and I can tell they are going to drive me nuts. :wall:

The chopper sequence from the first trailer is exhilarating to play and I love the game's reimagining of
Silver Sable and Tombstone
.

Just finished the story and completed the game to 100%. Got that Platinum.

The game is great - I loved it.

Story is strong and characterizations are solid all around.
I love what they did with Ock. Hands down one of my favorite takes on the character

It managed to not only be the best Spider-Man game ever but also the best Spider-Man movie in nearly 15 years at the same time.

Spoiler video for reviews of all costumes and scoring.....(don't watch if not know all suit options yet).

Hmmm, I'm sure I put this video up already (though it was link ,cause the system only allowed me to put up 3 videoin one post.) with the other video reviews of bot EPN.tv & easy allies withe the happy console gamer.

I was at the Rikers mission, and there was notable drop in frame-rate/some slowness, is that normal for ps4 pro? Otherwise the game has run smooth as silk and the disk condition is like new

Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Agreed, it's ridiculously addictive, like to the point where I switch off and am counting the time down till the next time.

The missions I am having most problems with, unlocked so far, (which to be fair, always do regardless of characters of game) are the 'timed' missions - the bomb challenges of Taskmaster are so tough and I'll need a lot of practice at these.

Plus I'm awful at being able to keep up with anything so anything to do with catching bloody pigeons is a bit of a challenge for me.

I keep making the fatal mistake of thinking I can put it on for 20 minutes and then get on with what I should be doing, 2 hours later I am still swinging around New York City!

The timed missions are always infuriating as it adds extra tension and I lose my focus as I am watching the clock too much.

Those damned pigeons, every now and then I'll be heading somewhere when one will fly acrossw my path and I set off like a loon trying to catch it! :funny:

How far into the story are you?

Same, a 'quick 30 minutes' and it's 'oh, I best wash the lunch dishes and now make tea'. I am 60-something % done on story, is the percentage shown just the amount of the linear story or is that 'total' game completion ? Doing okay in terms of 'add-ons', except research missions (the purple microscope icon ones) and TM's side challenges, everything else running alongside each other pretty well, I tend to alternate my time between everything else / main story and so I'm quite even on completion of both angles.

Dodge the drone and keep webbing Taskmaster, then pound his face in until he evades.

…..Plus that Animated Series Suit better come quick as I'll want to wear it throughout the rest of the game from when I acquire it.

I don't see the problem with wall crawling. There were times early on, maybe twice when small ledges knocked me off, but as you get comfortable with the controls, it becomes muscle memory to manuever through with web-zip, reverse zip, or slow-mo with L2 to zip to where you want. Just keep in mind, a character that moves all angles, upside-down even, with a moving camera, it's a nightmare to program.

Even if the controls allow you to get wherever you want to, the wall crawling still needs fixing. Sure, I could just run up the wall, but maybe I just want to chill and not sprint everywhere. But with wallcrawling, I sometimes won't get past 4 floors, because he's suddenly stuck. Kills the whole immersion right there.

I wonder when the

if I remember correctly the vintage comics suit is one of the last few suits. Plus you'll need all the required tokens.
