Huh? The only differences in that suit and the one in the previous movies are the lenses and the webbing.

Oh well, I guess to each their own.

The Raimi suit had urethane webs for crying out loud. Not just black thread to the material. You do realize we're talking about the first 3 spiderman movies, right?

The picture I posted was admittedly a bad one since it was washed out and not done at a decent aperture/ fstop.

Brad's picture is a bit better, though now that I look at it, the picture could be better.

We're never going to all agree...this is all personal preference. I'm just one of the (apparently small) group who would like to see a comic-style suit instead of a movie suit.

Sue me ;)

Yeah... this looks good for like a fan film, but for the Spider-Man reboot....

....

Aren't you guys stuck in the 20th Century? :awesome:
Yes, in some ways but in some ways we are pretty advanced. Life in TexXxas and the people there aren't what you expect. We are natural leaders and cage fighters. We are a community who believes in each other, yet not big on interracial dating. It's a grab bag of 20th and 21st century beliefs.

I think it's time to delete this thread or merge with the "Suit Up" thread....

Fo shizzle y'all

What's funny is to go back through the manips thread....and look at HOW MANY people LOVED the comic suit with Garfield's face on it...and said they wanted it.

Now they're being good sports and backing the suit they can't change. There's no sense griping...we're stuck with it.

There's really not much point in having two of them but I'd hate to lose the other poll if they merged.

only thing that bothers me is the entire mask. its all messed up at the neck and the eyes are bleh. other than that, i love it

adding red stripes to the legs and removing the red belt smacks of trying to reinvent the wheel. so far I like the suit but I afraid that is going to change when I see the suit, mask and books in all it glory.

Yeah, I mean, I get why they wanted to differentiate the look of this Spider-man. When BB came out, there were still people calling it a prequel, so this movie is trying to do as much as possible to let people know "hey, it's different."

But part of me feels like they're making the costume different for the sake of being different. Granted, we have yet to see the full thing, but I'm just not sure I'm too big on the design at the moment. The lack of belly webs I find kind of odd, but again, I'm going to wait to see the full thing, and then for the full thing in action. Because when I saw TDK suit in full, I still wasn't a fan. In action it really wasn't that bad. Still not what I would have liked, but not that bad.

I'm reserving judgement till we get more pictures of it with the mask and whatnot, but as of now I think it's alright.
I wish the waistline was still there, thats my biggest issue.
But I have to say: EXCELLENT work on the colors. The red and blue both look phenomenal. And the webbing? SO well done! I could go on and on how PERFECT all that looks. Bravo, sony.
And Andrew Garfield looks incredible as Peter, by the way :woot:

Yeah I dig the colors most of all. Garfield's thin build really helps sell the look too. Can't wait to see some swinging through NY. :awesome:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH
I hadn't even thought of that till now...
Excuse me while I get a paper towel...

They're a hardy folk however, as they spend most of their time battling hordes of evil chupacabra the goatsucker!
