Holograms would be great. VFX and co would have to create something real good. They can delve into the intricacies of projections, etc. Otherwise, it would just look like a fake something that isn't there--if that makes sense. I actually can't think of any good examples where they made holograms looked visually appealing in any film. Anyone?

His motivations will be interesting. Vulture's motivations weren't 100% translated from the comics but I felt that the underdog aspect/spirit was there. And yes, it needed a contemporary update. (Getting jipped by his business partner stealing his profit.) = (Getting jipped by Stark/DODC/higher ups for a business he started.)

Gonna be interesting to see what Beck's MO will be.

Obviously there is a number of reasons that can set him off on a path of crime; however, one thing I strongly suspect, he may possibly be hired by the Tinkerer to create a grand illusion, in order to break Vulture out....he gets out somekind of way, anyway...starting the path of these three at least working together.

Makes even more sense now if Doctor Strange is the other hero that shows up in this one. Spidey will probably think he's fighting a wizard so he asks Strange for some advice and Strange will probably say Spidey's wasting his time with an illusionist and Strange will probably learn something from the whole ordeal to have more fun, take things less seriously or something lol.

Super excited by this news. Mysterio's one of my favorites. My only worry was he'd be a minor throw-a-way villain like Shocker in Homecoming or Rhino in TASM 2, but if Gyllenhaal is in the role I highly doubt he will be.

So much fun and creativity comes with the character. Can't wait to finally see him in live-action!

I think Mysterio adds something we've never really seen in a Spider-Man film. I expect something like the first Dr. Strange film in a sense. Very excited about the news!

I hope Vulture is something of a grudging ally to Peter, it'd be more consistent with his characterization than him going straight back to villainy. He didn't like to make waves or make anything personal. If he does end up on the bad side, it'd make the most sense for Mysterio or whoever else to strong-arm or blackmail him into it.

Whether he teams up or is a villain or somewhere between, I hope they don't turn him into a Loki or Magneto where they can't go a movie without finding a way to include him.

True, but it's nice to have him turn up again. Keaton was so damn good in this role that I wanted to see more of him, and I got my wish.

If Toomes ends up suiting up at some point in the film, would you guys want any adjustments made to his armor? I loved how his wings were even bigger and scarier in the final battle, made him look even more monstrous. And he should keep the helmet.

Personally, I always thought Fanning looked too much like young Emma Stone, and they'd probably want to cast a different "type". But she would do good in the part. I could see them doing Jessica Drew, as well, in which case my pick would be Hailee Steinfeld.


And Jefferey Wright would be a great choice for Doc Ock. Michael Emerson would also be a great pick. But following Keaton and Gyllenhaal, I feel like they want bigger stars for the villains.

Looking at A-List talent, Steve Carell is one name that jumps out for Ock. Russell Crowe or Ken Watanabe could also do a great job.
