I don't know. Usually when things like that happen it's the other way around.

Now I am wondering. Do you think Spiderman TAS deserved an epic final battle to conclude the series? I know the show was heavily censored, but even with all that I think the final battle with the spider carnage could have been handled better.

If it had a final battle like the Superman-Darkseid one in Superman TAS, then I think the final battle of Spiderman TAS would have been much better even sticking to the censorship rule. I mean the last episode of the series was good and even the beginning of the battle with spider carnage at the conference was good (by the censorship standards), but the meeting at the roof ruined the episode for me. It could have been the best episode of the series if they handled that fight better.

What do you think?

I don't think it needed an epic final fight for the end. I think it would just makes us see what we missed through the whole series when Spider-Man was not allowed punch.

It needed less Kingpin episodes especially the last few. Kingpin for me really was over used and some episodes with other villains i.e Doc Ock, Mysterio really didn't have to appear as hired help for him.

Yeah Kingpin did seem forced in some episodes. I mean was it really necessary to have him steal Doc Ock's thunder by creating the "Sinister" Six? And there's the Octobot two-parter. He only had one scene. Thus those episodes could have easily worked without him.

I think the Morbius episodes in Season 2 was pretty much the only huge story arc that Kingpin was actually absent from.

are there any plans to release the entire series here in the US or at least in volume sets kinda like the X-Men animated series?

That'd be awesome. But...no plans that I'm aware of, however I was kinda hoping that since the show just passed its 20th anniversary they would have made this available in the US on DVD. I'd love a Blu ray release.

It's very bizarre the U.S. don't have the whole series on DVD. I'm in Ireland and we have it.

Yeah, not sure why. But you guys/gals up in Great Britain and Ireland seem to get quite a few releases that we, in the US, don't get. For a Spidey example, the USM cartoon came to the US on a two disc DVD that features only about 12 episodes from the 1st season. However in Ireland/GB, the entire first season is available on DVD.

Well getting all of USM on DVD is nothing to be happy about ;)

Maybe 25 lol.

Truth be told. lol.

But that's two Spidey shows that are fully available in your neck of the woods and here in the US both shows are only partially available.

I'd be willing to wait another 5 years to get an HD copy of SM:TAS. I don't want to, I'd rather have it now, but...I could. :yay:

True, and I don't get it. I mean are us Europeans seen as bigger fans than you Americans or something? :oldrazz:

You just had to go there, didn't you? :cwink:

We get some stuff you guys don't and vice versa. I just wish they'd make it even across the board.

As for SM:TAS, I own the series digitally but I'd still love to have actual hard copies of the show on disc, preferably in HD. I guess I am just old school in that regard--I'd rather own something physical.

That's what I don't get, why they don't make it even across the board. They're losing out on money. Those DVDs would sell, especially every time a Spider-Man movie is made.

Someone has created a petition on change dot org to get more episodes for spiderman the animated series.

God bless you all! God bless everyone in your lives! God bless everyone!

There is no reason to make more episodes of an old show when the creators gave us their full vision.
Even if they did more now, it won't really feel the same.

You should really add that to your signature.
And God bless you. :)

Unless there's something worthwhile that was left on the cutting room floor or something that never made it to final print, the show doesn't need any more episodes. It reached a fine completion.

Agree.
