how much would it cost to buy a suit from one of you guys?

Hey guys! I hope this thread is still active…

I’m not really going for a super high quality movie version – I’ll be experimenting with different homebrewed methods over the next few months – kind of like if kick-ass was a little more talented. I’m an artist, so I think I can make it work : ) But I’d like a few of the pieces to be high quality. I’ve got a few (SERIOUS) inquiries:

1) Does anyone here sell eye frames and/or lenses?

2) To hold me over until I get things going with my own suit (and maybe a simple Halloween outfit this year), does anyone have any masks for sale?

I’d rather make a purchase through someone actually on this board, as opposed to being sent off to some other site, so if anyone HERE has anything they’d like to sell, please PM me.

Thanks and keep up the awesome work!

Making a suit ..... ever so slowly.

Brad.
Dam you really are a bad ass suit maker :woot:..hey is that a newer version upgrade of the boot it looks different than the water shoes but better..show us a closer photo please!! :wow:

Haven't been here in ages!

Brad, your urethane webbing suits look outstanding. What glue you using on those webs? Does it stretch? And how does the durability seem?

Some more pics if this suit..

Glue is called Loctite All Plastics. It doesnt stretch, but the idea is the fabric and urethane will stretch together so the glue just needs to hold the two surfaces together. Honestly.... I hardly ever make these suits so I couldnt say on durability.

I've just changed my lenses a little. I've added a special plastic lense front that doesnt fog. :)

Hey guys is anyone intrested in taking this manip, i made to inspire for a real suit? I don't ask to be 100% the same. I see so many Raimi suits created, from really talented people, but i prefer to see a more classical one.

Wow Brad, that Ultimate suit is beyond amazing. I'm very jealous - I want one!

Sorry to interrupt ...

I had posted awhile back about mesh possibilities for Spider-Man eyes...and thought I'd come back to report for those who are still trying to make suits themselves.

After a lot of testing...this might have been posted before but it bears repeating...the best/tightest mesh that I've found is the mesh from coffee pot strainers. For a movie look obviously you spray pearlescent white on the front and black on the back. For a comic look, flat white on the front...and optional black on the back.

For a fabric, we've found some white curtain fabric that when double layered gives the see out but dont see in from at least 5 feet away...and in pictures (even up close) is just like the comics.

Just thought I'd discuss ;)
