See, I think it's the total opposite.

That doesn't sound like the scripts would have been that much different. If anything, that pushes more towards a cameo appearance opposed to a huge role. Had his appearance been major the scripts would have been "drastically" different.

That's just my logic though.

Yeah and even then they don't say "substantial".

He's going to be 40 by the time he makes BP. T'Challa could could come into being ruler later in life in the MCU than 616 but they might want to start with him as King.

Boyfriend barely looks like he's 30! I agree they'll likely start with him as a King, but dudes, he could seriously be a prince.

I just want Spidey to have a decent sized role in this movie. I don't want him to be limited to just a cameo, ugh. Marvel better not reduce his role to just a guest appearance, because Spidey being in Civil War is the main reason I'm excited for it

They're shooting within the next week or two, and still don't have Spider-Man cast. Either that means they're going to cast him soon, like very soon. Or they're not worried because he's not scheduled to be in the film till half way or 75% into the shooting. My guess is the latter, and that he'll probably have a small role. Unfortunately.

Unless he's cast in the next week or so, which I don't see happening either.

It's already been said that he'll be in-costume in Civil War. This either means he's already Black Panther, or they'll be taking some major liberties with the mythos and making is so you don't have to necessarily be king to be a Panther (this wouldn't be the first time Marvel has changed up an origin).

They could just do what was done in Batman Begins though. Start in the present with an adult T'Challa and then show the death of his father and his first encounter with Klaue via flashbacks.

Chadwick looks good but he looks in his mid 30s sans movie magic. There's no need though to fudge around with his age for this part. If they wanted someone to play a young princeling there's no shortage of other actors in that age range.

As for Spider man they didn't sound like they were closing in on casting or were any rush. I wouldn't expect more than a minor role that could be filmed in a couple of weeks at most, especially since he can be easily doubled in action while wearing the suit. He could be cast as late as July and if he doesn't take off the mask not even then, they could even dub in dialogue later.
