Spielberg committed to Robopocalypse!

... I hope that this doesn't prompt Hemsworth to try and get out of his Thor/Marvel commitment-- that would suck.. please, Mr. Spielberg, don't steal our Thor.. direct a Marvel movie instead..

I actually would not be averse to The Beard directing Namor or Dr. Strange.

Senor Spielbergo would do great things with the Fantastic Four.

I'm sure that SPielberg has enough power to work out a schedule that favors both parties :cwink:.
Also Spielberg has said that he'll also try to portray the same realistic future as the one in Minority Report. Seriously aside from the jetpacks and the magnetic cars , it's scary that some of the tech. in minority report is ver close to actually becoming a reality :wow:

Happy with this casting, it'll be good to see Speilberg back in the sci fi blockbuster arena.

I would hope he would remember that Thor is the reason why he is getting all these opportunities so he shouldn't turn his back on that.

She could play Senator Perez or Marcus Johnson's wife.
I wonder how Spielbergo will handle this TBH.

Spielberg + Goddard + Hemsworth = my ten dollars.

Is the book good? I have some iTunes credit and I'm deciding between this one and World War Z.

It's okay. Really interesting concepts, I just felt there was a lack of character depth. But I wonder if they will add more in the film. A good quick read.

Ah thanks. I might read the sample first then and just decide from there.

Anne possibly appearing in this as the female lead? Awesome.

Oh, that's great news. Come on Steven, make it work this time!

so rothman is producing and you thought you got rid of him tainting your super heroes

thor and catwoman watch out:oldrazz:

I really hope if Hemsworth is the lead that he's playing the guy who is traveling with his brother and that they cast one of his brothers, both of whom act.

I also really hope the film keeps the Native American aspects of the plot because I thought that was awesome idea and experience with reservation governments was an interesting perspective that the author brought to the "society is collapsing" genre.

I read the book last year got it from Waldenbooks before ours went out of business in hard cover for only like 5/6 bucks. it was a interesting book and had some creepy bits like how the robots replaced the eyes with a kidnapped girl with robot ones so she was 'blind' but could see things no human could ala Geordi's VISOR on TNG.

I enjoyed Steven's other sci fi films Minority Report (which I LOVED) and A.I. which I liked but not as much as MR, so, I hope Robopocalypse will do good and am looking forward to it :).

after War Horse and Lincoln he needs to direct a scifi movie. so lets hope it happens.

Plus the script is damn good hands with Goddard. In interviews with the books author he revealed that the script was written alongside the later parts of the books and that he and people from the film, writers, robot designers and the like, were bouncing ideas back and forth. Should be interesting to see what makes it in the film.

I had the idea of Anne starring in a sci-fi Nolan film with Bale and the Batman cast. So I'd be very happy to see her star in this with Spielberg.

Robots, prepare to be...

Tom Rothman Producing??!!

Don't worry, in a Spielberg movie Rothman producing == leaving his wallet on the table on his way out of the conference room.

Still gonna be weary about it.
