Splinter Cell: ConViction

A few more details on co-op/mutliplayer:

• Archer and Kestrel are the new Co-Op characters.

• Takes place about 2 months before Conviction.

• Roughly 6 hours.

• Cover system similar to Gears of War.

• If you’re wounded, you can either play dead or use your pistol until your partner heals you or you bleed out.

• Deniable Ops (4 Co-Op): Series of standalone challenges set within the same four stages from the co-op story mode, plus two additional maps:

• Hunter: Where players have to kill off all enemy NPCs on the map.

• Infiltration: Same concept as Hunter mode, but detection by enemies automatically results in failure.

• Last Stand: Protect an EMP warhead from waves of attacking foes.

• Face Off: The sole adversarial mode, with players going head-to-head with a costumizable number of A.I. Opponents populating the map.

• You earn points through out the SP and MP.

• Change your look online and the look of Sam Fisher.

• Upgrade Weapons / Gadgets / Appearance.

• 6 Maps (four for the story co-op and two only for Deniable Ops).

if by "glory days" you mean members of the athletic department perpetrating academic and financial aid fraud, players that go out at night to rob car stereos and B and E's for extra cash, and sweeping all that under the rug because the team is winning, then ok...sure

I kid, sort of....not bad for a school that was giving away tickets to football games using Burger King giveaways

Glory days, as in back to back National Title appearances. 58 straight wins at home. etc etc.

And if you still want to talk about "Thug U" you might want to look further north, specifically Gainesville and Tallahassee. Miami has had one player arrested in the past 9 years compared to the 27 the Gators have had arrested since Urban Meyer has been the HC, but yet Miami is somehow still Thug U.

But thats for another thread....

SPLINTER CELL!!!!

Sounds Awesome thanks for the info.:woot:

Yeah, the co-op sounds incredible. I can't wait.

Sounds like there will be tons of replay value on this.

Change the look of Sam? To what? Will we get funny hats and tattoos? Can we give him hair? Can he me made to look like Matt Damon or Keifer Sutherland?

Haha, if I can make Sam Fisher wear this...

...I will be thoroughly satisfied and never have to play another game again.

Giant Bomb is posting a co-op preview and interview sometime this week.

Paying more for a fancier version of Splinter Cell: Conviction is no longer an exclusively North American privilege. Ubisoft just announced a Collector's Edition of the stealth sequel for "all" European, Middle Eastern, Asian, and Pacific territories -- and it comes with different stuff than the North American version!

The rest of the world's Collector's Edition will include the usual steel-book case and soundtrack, and also the distinguished-looking Sam Fisher statue seen above, frozen forever in the act of almost stepping on his night vision goggles. The pack also includes in-game bonuses like an Infiltration Mode, a special "Shadow Armor" skin, and "early access" to the SC300, SR2 and MP5 weapons.

Head into our gallery to see images of both the Xbox 360 and PC sets.
