Splinter Cell: ConViction

Damn I'm stoked for that co-op, looks like it'll be similar to the co-op from chaos theory. Really can't wait to try that out

Damn, somehow I didn't check this thread yesterday, that co-op gameplay looks fantastic.

so Im still playing Chaos Theory on and off....just went through Hokkaido and only found 3 of the microphones...eh

I just bought Chaos Theory on Steam today for $5. Looking forward to finally playing it. I'm going all kinds of out of order on the Splinter Cell series, having only played the original and Double Agent so far, but whatever.

Haha yea it doesnt really matter. None of the stories really overlap any way.

Yeah, they all seem to be nicely round and self contained stories within themselves.

If you prefer Chaos Theory, too, look into the past-gen Xbox version of Double Agent. It's alot closer to Chaos Theory than the 360 version of DA was.

Yea thats what iv heard. I never did get around to playing the Xbox version altho i always wanted to.

Yeah, it's a little harder to find just because it was a new past-gen game coming out during the current-gen cycle. I think it was one of the last Xbox games made, actually.

I've seen it for pretty cheap in bins at Gamestop. I think it's worth a pick up if your a Splinter Cell fan. It's vastly different from the 360 version, even though it's sorta the same story. The use of the loyalty meter was nice, too.

Yea i might do that.

Im dying to play Conviction, so maybe playing through DA will help the time go by a bit faster.

That co-op in Conviction is going to be so effing sick.

I enjoyed it sooooooo much more than the 360 version ....

It just FELT like a Splinter Cell game.

^That new game mode sounds Awesome can't wait for this game!

I really am getting sick and tired of Ubisoft and their practices for announcing the release date of games. Its just been noted that Splinter Cell: Conviction will be delayed YET AGAIN. The game is being pushed back to April. I swear it seems Ubisoft just cant stick to a release date. I was shocked to see ACII actually release when they said it would. For now on, they just need to start giving ball park estimates because they have such a hard time of sticking to the release dates they announce.

Dear lord .... every time we get close to getting this it seems to be moved out of reach again ....

We are coming up to nearly three and a half years since Double Agent ...

They need to be careful, by the time it finally gets here many might not even care.

Yea, they almost have to start the marketing all over again. For the last few months they've been pushing that this was going to be a Feb release.

I'm so sick of them delaying this game release it already.:woot:

Yeah...my patience is running thin. Having dealt with the delays for a game that should have come out in 2007, the constant pushing back is getting bad.

If they had delayed it straight to April, instead of Febuary, that would have been easier. But the way they're going about it is becoming a problem.

There isn't even a date floating around anymore. All we got is April 2010, which seems flimsy enough that it could end up in early May for all we know.

Yea i know man. I just think how they have handled this has been really poor. I mean i understand delays, but this is getting ridiculous. I mean its been one delay after another after another after another.

With that said tho, Ubisoft claims that the delay is so they can add a bit more polish and if you watch some of gameplay footage from CES, you can spot a few bugs, just in those short videos. If thats the case it makes it a little easier to swallow, but its still annoying as hell when the company is saying, the game is going to be out on so and so date only to change that, multiple times.

Conviction getting delayed yet again is certainly a concern, but I just think of Arkham Asylum and how much the numerous delays probably helped that game.

Yea thats a good point and like i said, go watch the 3 part CES demo video over at IGN and you can spot numerous bugs in just 5 or 6 minutes of gameplay. One of the Ubisoft guys actually mentioned something about it, he kind of gave an uncomfortable chuckle and brushed it off as "just a Havok bug". So maybe the game did need a little more polish.
