While I'd rather they take their time to get it right, all these delays are troubling.

Not really.
I think he got fed up with all the bureaucracy and the sacrifices constantly being asked of him. Sarah's death was the reason he ended up becoming a Double Agent.
I think the way things went down, and all the pretty ****ed up stuff that happened, at the end of Double Agent was the reason he wanted out. He just got tired of being some puppet, I think.
And really in DA, there was no whiff whatsoever that Sarah's death was at all government related.
Splinter Cell: Conviction has been delayed a number of times, but Ubisoft is absolutely, positively sure this time that it's coming out on April 13th. How sure? Well, they sent us rocks with the game's logo and date LASER-ETCHED into either side. See for yourself.
