I think with games, it's sort of become an unofficial price of premium. You pay money, that chances are you probably wouldn't have to months later.

It's why DLC with pre-orders is such a big deal now, the incentive it creates to get the game on release date is impressive.

But some of that fluff just doesn't mean anything to me. And I'd rather wait till the game is at least half price before I get it. My waiting isn't going to change anything since there will always be people who buy it day of.

Yeah, which is why the unofficial premimum price is there. You get when it comes out, and you get more since you are paying more.

It's all really for the fans of the franchise, really.

Dont know if any of you have heard this, but according to the hiphopgamer, Assassins Creed II will come with a demo code for Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Ill be getting Assassins Creed II tomorrow night, but ill deff be playing that demo first.

Yeah, it'd be bad marketing on Ubisoft's part. Not a whisper of this...and it would be a great incentive for people to get AC II brand new. But, like you said. This is the very first time I've heard of this. And it's like...what, 7 or 8 hours away from it's release?

Yea man u should have no problem switching to the 360 version, they should have plenty of copies in.

Yea, i briefly thought about getting this for the PS3 due to my limited space on my 360's HDD, but then i remembered all the troubles the first game had on that system so i stayed with my 360(plus now that i have a bigger HDD it doesnt matter any way)

I think its been confirmed that the code is just for a free download for the Conviction website, unfortunately.

On a side note, i dont think every copy of ACII comes with the code, or maybe its that the collectors editions dont come with the code as i didnt get one(and i bought the collectors edition)
