Yeah. Paying for expansions feels more honest and traditional. Even costumes packs I've come to accept. I just hope it isn't a case of waiting to hear the catch as it does sound too good to be true.

Has anyone thought about how they'll handle the traversal for characters like Widow and Cap? With Ironman and Thor you have two characters that can fly, and Hulk can leap and run alongside walls. How will characters that are less super, get around on a big map?

Will Cap and Widow get motorcycles? Can we steal other vehicles from goons? How will they handle it?

it'll be done the same it was done in the animated avengers assemble with hawkeye flying motor cycle stark's version of his flaying care that black widow used that nick fury senor had and Coulson uses in agents of shield and there's the queen jet or what that animated series used called the avenge jet. BTw what made me remember that was the the way the hulk looks as Bruce banner . the animated Bruce banner in avengers assemble and

The leaked gameplay looked pretty good, but now its concerning to hear how much of it is on rails and Widow's whole bossfight is QTE.

I'm going through waves of emotion on this
-Initial trailer- "Holy crap that's bad"
-Seeing Gameplay- "Okay, maybe it'll be alright, I'm coming around"
-Reading more about the gameplay and that they won't change the character models - "orrrrr maybe not"

They're not changing the design but they said the footage is pre alpha and theres plenty of polishing that will happen between now and launch.

Well that could either work with them or against them. Honestly I think while the cosmetics is lacking. It might be overlooked if the gameplay is strong and the story is well developed.But if it’s a train wreak then that will play a factor.

In some interviews they say there will be changes because they are listening to feedback and other interviews they are saying there won't be changes but lots of polishing

I think that has been misreported. The quotes say they are listening to feedback, but I don't think they say there will be changes. Of course, the game will need some extra polishing and there will some changes before it comes out, but that's probably it.

Its just weird that most companies show these amazing, polished visuals and basically oversell it, showing pre-rendered stuff and the released game is not as good
But with this they were like "hey we know its ugly but we'll keep working on it"
not sure which way is smarter

Character designs are for the most part ok. Many of them can be polished, like Netherrealm Studios polished their Injustice characters before launch. Not sure though if a little polish is enough for Thor's ugly mug.

Exactly what does polishing mean when it comes to character models? Make them clearer and more detailed?

There won't be changes but I assume that means drastic redesigns. Will polishing tweak the models like their faces or hair a bit?

Marvel's Avengers Designers Won't Change Character Design, Despite Backlash

Well there you go.

They will polish the current models but no actual character redesigns will take place.

Honestly, the only thing that I think looks ugly is the hair on BW and Thor. That's it. And I'm sure that that's going to be polished up. And maybe we even get to customize the character's hair, who knows.

Thor needs complete facial reconstruction. And honestly, Black Widow could use some tweaking to her jaw. Because right now it seems to be bigger than Captain America's.

So the faces and hair can still be changed up!? Thor should be buffed up but other than that, there doesn't need to be a complete overhaul on the models.

Simple face and hair tweaks is good enough for me

Yeah polishing up the models isnt changing the design. hair, texture, shapes in the faces and proportions can likely be altered. The Injustice ones are good examples of that.
