Square Enix's Avengers

I hear the hair might be changed to match the movie looks for Hawkeye and Black Widow for the endgame suits.

They've still got a terrible mock mcu design for the rest of their aesthetic. They should have gone more comic inspired to stand out better, but even that wouldn't have solved the major problems.

Question because I’m a total newbie at gaming in general and all that: for you to play all these new Tachyon missions, are we supposed to have people added to play with? Every time I click one, it sends me to a screen to buy something called PS+.

I do not have the game, but what this sounds like you must have PS+ to play the Tachyon missions, because they are considered online multiplayer only.

The MCU suits look great, but they should have been in the game at launch, or shortly afterward. I know something as minor and trivial as character skins might seem small, but based on the immense popularity of the MCU it might have boosted sales at launch if for no other reason than fans finally being able to (somewhat) play as those versions of the characters without having to revisit those mediocre-to-bad Phase 1 MCU games from a decade ago or via the Lego Avengers game.

What is the difference between that suit and the one she starts the game with?

Looks like they forgot to mimic the MCU hairstyles.

Anyway I put this on a few days ago and I couldn't get into it. once i finished Reassembled and the two dlc story missions - I'm just stuck doing the same thing again and again.

They should have been the default skins to get the maximum number of people into the game so that people care about it enough to buy added content. As it stands we have tonnes of hardcore Avengers and MCU fans who haven’t even played the game, and on top of that they are making it less attractive to much of the GA who have only ever seen the MCU versions of these heroes.

So, I've had this game for quite some time but haven't ever had the incentive to want to try it. Decided to give it a play today and did the prologue. Can't say I'm a fan. Don't find any of the characters to be enjoyable to play so far and everything feels so clunky. Hoping that I enjoy it as I go through, but I can already tell I'm probably not going to be a fan of the game's structure going forward. I really hate these types of stories.

For sure. Though admittedly, they did at least pay homage to the MCU with the main roster of Avengers nearly matching the original MCU roster except with Ms. Marvel subbing in for Hawkeye. There’s also the other MCU nods in the game like Tony’s personality basically being RDJ, Banner having the same wardrobe as Ruffalo in Avengers, Natasha speaking with an American accent as opposed to Russian, etc. But of course, those aren’t as big of a draw as the outfits.

I would say wait. My impressions are that there still isn't enough content to keep people interested from what I've heard how they've handled the dlc. There are always other options as far as games go and this will likely end up on PS+ or the Xbox equivalent at some point anyway.

Yeah its better to just wait.

The story campaign + 2 dlc story campaigns aren't really that long. BP dlc is probably as short as Hawkeye's story campaign.

Are the recent DLCs any higher in quality than the base game?

They are short and can be seen as side quests, but the DLCs showcased Kate Bishop and Hawkeye in cutscenes/story more than Thor in the base game. Hawkeye's DLC included a new location as well. They felt like episodic DLC.

Kate Bishop's dlc was the better dlc. Hawkeye's dlc ended abruptly.

Thanks for the info.

I hope they manage to turn this game around even if it takes a long time and a lot of effort.

I think you may end up with a re-launch at some point to get people interested in the game.

I personally would just prefer them to move on to a new Marvel game. Revisiting the locations shown in the wartable just to repeat stuff is just eh. I also didn't like the skill tree here.
