Superman Returns SR wins 2 Total Film Readers awards!

It got Best 2006 Movie and Brandon got Best Breakout Star (by a landslide on the 2nd one by the sounds of it). Its totally deserving of these awards IMO and just goes to show that the GA liked SR after all as these awards were voted for by the readers. Well done Bryan and Brandon!

However you wanna look at it this shows that people outside of the Superman fanbase liked this movie. TF is a popular magazine here, and i bet hundreds of thousands of people voted on this.

well maybe you dont know but awards mean nothing to me. if SR gets 7 oscars than i still wont care. if a movie gets not even 1 oscar it still can be a good movie.

the problem AVEITWITHJAMON is that: if SR gets 7 oscars then defenders will say that SR is a good movie because he got 7 oscars. if SR will nto get an oscar than defenders will say that it doesnt matter because SR is still a good movie.
the same with haters only the other way around.

I think you have missed my point Dark B, i wouldnt be bothered by oscars either, but most of the awards SR has won have been voted for general movie fans, when a lot of haters say SR didnt connect with the General Audience, this type of thing just shows how wrong they are.

Total Film is pretty big in Australia too. They listed Superman II in their top ten best films of 1980 (Number 9) and they put it above films like American Gigolo, Caddyshack and The Blues Brothers.

It´s funny how some haters treat SR like it´s some obvious Batman & Robin or Elektra kinda bomb, and in fact the movie has a lot of positive reviews and feedback.
