Stan Lee wants ANOTHER Hulk reboot?

I think the fact that we are even comparing a 2003 film to a 2008 one proves how great the first Hulk movie still looks.

I fail to see the logic in this. There will no doubt be comparisons to Ang Hulk because it was the first big-budget Hulk movie with a CGI monster. People can argue all day long which creature looked better, but this is only opinion.

Ha this post was funny!!!However the only Crap taking place is when TIH faces Ang's Hulk and Craps on himself and at the same time says "Holy Crap"!!!!You and I both know He would take the canon off of a tank Samck TIH in the face a couple of times then Ang's Hulk would rip TIH's head off completly and use it as a Bowling Ball to Bowl down all those lousey Over Acting and/or Under Acting actors as well!!!!

...umad?:awesome:

Look at how fake this looks with his caved in Chest. He looks like a Puppet a Maniquin. He looks like Rubber!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no deminsion to his body he looks like a Box!!!
I hate it!!!!

So what's your point? I'm gonna start calling you Mr. Rant.

Yes, in that shot he doesn't look so good. Bad angle, and the CGI in that shot wasn't so good. But in others he looks much better. Contrast that with how he looks in AngHulk* where he looks "STUPID!!!" virtually ALL the time. TIH, is the lesser of two evils, I'd say.

*Wish we has a spit smiley as I feel the urge whenever I use Ang's name(may he burn in the fires of hell forever and ever, amen!).

This comment is more reasonable. Thank you Kedrell. In any case, this picture was from early rendering. I have seen a shot of this scene of the final render and it looks much better. Even though I don't have the final render pic, anyone can look at the DVD or BluRay and see the improvement.

I don't know. I'm not an avid Hulk fan so to speak, but I really like the design because it has monster-ish, neanderthal qualities without being too extreme (i.e. Jack Kirby's design). It's a nice combination of human and monster. The two film designs we've gotten so far have been too human for my taste, but that's purely a preference thing.

I will say that the TIH design is pretty good, but execution of it did nothing for me. Like I said in another thread, I still think the CG in that film was mediocre at best. There was not a second in that film where I didn't think the Hulk looked fake (whether it be the rubbery texture or the fact that he was lit horribly).

i remember when the hulk's head for TIH was first released, everyone loved it. What messed it up in the movie is that, as with Hulk 2003, they tried too hard to make the Hulk resemble the actor that was playing Banner; they tweaked the design and made him look more like Norton. The Hulk should look like a monster.

I think a crap marketing campaign is what killed TIH, and the fact that the first (failed) Hulk was too fresh in the public's psych. The public was not very interested in getting another hulk movie (even though it was a reboot) to begin with, and the fact that Marvel botched the marketing campaign didn't help. The teaser trailer was a POS and it greatly turned me off to the film, The later trailers were much better, but by then I think that much of the public wasn't interested, and the fact that there was not much promotion on TV or elsewhere didn't help. The marketing campaign was much more muted than the first film's, even though they had a much better movie to sell. It was kind of a no-win situation, sadly.

They held back the marketing because they said they didn't want Hulk to eat into Iron Man's marketing...see how that turned out.

Also, they didn't clearly pound it into everyone's heads that this was a re-boot. Most of the general public thought this was Hulk 2; the sequel to Ang's movie; a movie they hated...so why Marvel, would you be surprised that it did poorly...?

Honestly guys, I don't think alot of people outside the inner circle knew it was a reboot. When you saw the adverts for Batman Begins, it was pretty obvious it had nothing to do with the Burton/Schumaker films, but even then it did well but it wasn't a huge blockbuster, not until TDK when everyone knew what they were getting for sure.

The first film was such a "WTF was that?" moment that the second film really never stood a chance of overcoming that, especially with the way it was marketed.

I remember after the opening was so lackluster they ran a new TV ad showing the Stark cameo to try to get people to come see it, since IM was so popular, but it was too little too late.

It's really too bad because I thought TIH was a really good film and much better than the first, although I thought the actors did well in Ang's film.

The lesson is for comic films you need up beat directors like Favreau, Raimi, and Abrams. Ang Lee was way too artsy fartsy, and didn't understand the American comic book scene. His style works well for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon type films, but not for American pop art.

I must be crazy but the only thing I find wrong about that picture is that it's obvious those jeans couldn't stretch that much.

I liked Ang's movie more than TIH, but TIH's Hulk had a great design and a very good tone of green which made him quite convincing.

TIH > Ang Lee's Hulk

now I enjoyed Ang's Hulk, but as far as movie/looks go, TIH has it beat hands down. More action, the movie flows smoother and faster (obviously) and Norton's Hulk is just far less boring looking than Ang's.

so there you have it, it's all opinion

One thing that's fact and not opinion is that Ang's Hulk had more action.

Yeah, Ang's Hulk, may have had more action scenes but the movie as a whole was so poorly paced that it doesn't really feel like it. Ang's Hulk got mirred in father-son psycho-drama far too often to really enjoy the action scenes, which were good except for the final scene. TIH almost ran at breakneck speed from the outset and probably could've benefitted from taking a breadth with some of the scenes involving Doc Samson. On the whole I enjoyed TIH a lot more than Ang's Hulk, and I really do feel that TIH could've been a great film without so many cuts.

You are out of your mind ..... and that's a HORRIBLE picture from that scene.
You yourself call it horrible.......So why not just face it.
Oh I get it let's close our eyes and look at it.It may look better.
How else do you want me to look at it.If it's a horrible picture then it was a horrible rendition. What's you point. In trying to make you point you defeat your purpose!!!...................:hehe:

Never! The Ang Hulk was a beast who would have ripped TIH head off and then pulled out his Spleene!!!NO COMP!!!EVER!!!
I am not talking movies although we really don't want to go there either I had problems with both. The only thing Ang got right was the Hulk himself! Not the movieitself.I am talking Hulks and when I think Hulk I think this Creature!!!Nothing but Raw Power not that whiney looking Hulk who looks sick and always Growling because of how unfair he feels that the previous 2003 Hulk was stronger then he was!!!
incredible-hulk-movie-2003-photo-2-l.jpg

Only problem I had with him was that he got too big.Other then that if he had stayed at 9-10 feet he would have been perfect!!!Nothing but Raw Power!!!
Look at him he would B**ch Slap TIH!!!!!!!!:hehe:
