Stan Lee wants ANOTHER Hulk reboot?

I liked it alot better than the 15 foot godzilla we got in the first one.

I liked the first Hulk story alot but I never understood why they had to make him SO big.

Because he is that big in the comics.

Come on Stan. I sick of Reboots, just fix it in the next movie. Next?

Well, technically he usually isn't. Sure, the artists are able to fudge things plenty of times but for the most part he still needs to be small enough to fully interact with other people. Of course, that would require him to ACT, but it's another thing entirely that every live action adaption be it TV or film has missed completely. But the 2 tie in together. if you make him twice the height of everybody else, then interacting is difficult to do. He's not friggin' Giant Man. Still, I thought the look & size was much better in TIH than the 1st movie. Hulk is still a superhero and superheroes interact with regular folk all the time.

I can understand this sentiment and for the meantime Hulk should stay as is in the current continuity. This probably won't mean a TIH2(and I'm fine with that) but that he'll show up in the Avengers and possibly other places.

BUT, when it comes to more Hulk movies I think a REAL reboot is necessary eventually(just not anytime soon) since a solid foundation is essential to a healthy franchise(rather than the requelboot mumbo jumbo of TIH). And if there is a reboot, basically the only thing left to try is a straight up comic adaption w/o any TV show influence at all(which they should've just done from the very beginning!).

I think a crap marketing campaign is what killed TIH, and the fact that the first (failed) Hulk was too fresh in the public's psych. The public was not very interested in getting another hulk movie (even though it was a reboot) to begin with, and the fact that Marvel botched the marketing campaign didn't help. The teaser trailer was a POS and it greatly turned me off to the film, The later trailers were much better, but by then I think that much of the public wasn't interested, and the fact that there was not much promotion on TV or elsewhere didn't help. The marketing campaign was much more muted than the first film's, even though they had a much better movie to sell. It was kind of a no-win situation, sadly.

MAYBE if Avengers is a friggin' huge hit that makes like, 1 billion dollars and features Hulk, Marvel might be able to convince their investors to do another hulk movie, especially since they'll already have the technology to put Hulk on screen which means saving money. It's unlikely, but hey, a little hope is better than none.

He's been as big as he was in Hulk plenty of times in the comics.

Yeah but plenty more times he's been the size they list him as in the handbook, and that size makes the most sense in regards to interacting with his supporting cast.

If Stan Lee cared so much on size, why didn't he speak up about Venom in Spiderman 3? :o

I'm all for a sequel for TIH.

I think everyone is. Now it's just up to Marvel to be in a position to want to do another. As long as they have potential big money makers like Iron Man, Thor, Cap, and Avengers, waiting to cash in, it won't happen. If those movies are really successful, don't count on an exclusive Hulk movie for a long time. The best we can hope for in the time being is seeing him in the Avengers.

Yeah, and that's McFarlane art which is over the top for even comic books. Venom looked fine in the movie. His appearance wasn't the issue. It was how little he was developed.

I think both were problems, but moreso the latter.

I think this design is cool as hell:

Nah, it's too much Herb Trimpe. The Sal Buscema design (current one) rules.

I thought the current design was more Dale Keown?

I don't know. I'm not an avid Hulk fan so to speak, but I really like the design because it has monster-ish, neanderthal qualities without being too extreme (i.e. Jack Kirby's design). It's a nice combination of human and monster. The two film designs we've gotten so far have been too human for my taste, but that's purely a preference thing.

I will say that the TIH design is pretty good, but execution of it did nothing for me. Like I said in another thread, I still think the CG in that film was mediocre at best. There was not a second in that film where I didn't think the Hulk looked fake (whether it be the rubbery texture or the fact that he was lit horribly).
