Stand-Alone Movies Stand Alone & Spin-Off Star Wars movies...what would you like to see get made?

Really? He appears to be the fan's answer to everything at the moment, but the two aren't much alike. They are both tall men with deep voices. I see little more in common between them.

Okay, so with Boba Fett and a young Han Solo up for the first two, who's next? Yoda's been given some consideration. What about a young Palpatine?

I'm not a fan of de-mystifiying villains. The prequels did that quite enough, in my opinion.

I don't mind the de-mystification idea itself, as long as it's done well.

I wouldn't mind seeing a film based on Mace Windu or even an obscure Jedi member.

Considering Sam Jackson's interest in returning to the franchise. It wouldn't be that much of a stretch for them to make one. In theory, if they had him live after his fall in episode 3, they could almost have him as part of a Boba fett trilogy.

That being said, I'm almost positive we will get an Obi Wan spinoff.

After reading up on him, I think Quinlan Vos would be an interesting character to follow.

I love Quinlan. I find him pretty darn interesting, and i only wish they would have used him more in Clone Wars :csad:

Quinlan is almost obligatory for a spinoff movie, especially after his amazing stories in the comics.

Personally I'd rather have the spin offs tell different stories in the universe and have as little to do with Jedi/Sith wars and established characters as possible.

How could would a detective noir film set in the Corellian underworld be?

I really hope they take some of the ideas from A.C. Cripsin (May she rest in peace) Han Solo trilogy. Next to the Thrawn trilogy that was one of the best EU books out there. This is of course if they do plan on a Han Solo spin off, (which looks like they are)

Are Han and Boba confirmed to have spin offs?

^That.

Also I've heard nothing but good things about the Han Solo trilogy. I don't care to read too much EU, but I think I will read that and I, Jedi. Are there any other stand out works? (Pre OT. I don't care about the post Jedi stuff as VII will nullify it anyway)

I havent read I, Jedi, but i do recommend the Han Solo trilogy. Thrawn trilogy is also cool, in case u havent read those. These are among my all time favorite SW books.

I don't want a Han trilogy. He only needs one solo movie. In fact I think all the the spin offs should be stand alone, with only the main saga being decided into trilogies. I could see Boba fett with 2 movies, but a Boba fett trilogy would be over exposure IMO, as he would be the primary focus, where as the main trilogy had several characters to spread attention to.

I say, use the same actors for the characters that may make appearance in cameos, but unlike the marvel movie verse, don't worry about giving each character there own series. There are too many stories to be told.

I couldn't really see a Boba Fett series. He's really the character most likely to charge into a bar and shoot everyone up. Infact, thats how his film should open.

And the Han Solo movie, I'm worried about how much back story they're going to put in. He can't have much of a character arc since that's what happens in Star Wars. If anything I'd rather just see a deal that goes wrong. Not the one that leads him to get in trouble with Jabba, but a random one. And before he got the Falcon. That way you can have it end with him winning the Falcon in a card game where he's been telling the story to the other players.

If they do a young Obi-Wan stand alone film, I'd cast Duve Cameron {Disney's Liv & Maddie} as the teenage / Padawan version of Siri Tachi.
