Star Trek Sequel

I'm still rooting for a Gorn invasion!! I think they would look amazing on screen. I was searching deviantart.com and I found these pics. Pretty cool re-imaginations of the Gorns for Star Trek 2.

I see this guy part of the Gorn Armada. He represents a Gorn Infantry Warrior...

This guy could be a Gorn noble. Maybe on the High Council...

Will Ferrel's LAND OF THE LOST will ruin any chance the Gorn has of credibility.

Greenwood on the sequel:

I think these guys are clever enough to do at least two more and have the final one do a really hard dovetail into the beginning of [the storylines] for the original ["Star Trek"] series. My expectations are very high for them. The only thing I’d like to see, from a personal standpoint, is the mentor relationship between Kirk and Pike to continue.

Yeah! I hope Greenwood comes back. Love that guy. I think that continuing the Pike/Kirk mentor thing could really add a cool element to the series.

Yeah, I loved Pike in the film. That sweet ass move when he shot the Romulan who snuck up behind Kirk was awesome. I'd like to see an expansion as well.

But they could kill him off.

I could be down with the Gorn. You could do some serious crazy **** with them.

Yeah, but I don't think they would have him survive in part one just to give him the axe in the next movie. Maybe farther down the line, though.

So how about sequel titles, everyone? I know we discussed it a little while ago...

I think they should abandon the concept of simply adding numbers to the title (I guess they already did once they started making the TNG movies). I don't know why, but these days just tacking a "2" onto the title of the first movie just feels like the laziest thing possible.

So here are a few ideas... probably not too good, but oh, well...

Star Trek: Unseen Presence

Star Trek: New Lifeform

Star Trek: Mortal Coil

Star Trek: Unspeakable Secrets

Star Trek: Immense Darkness

Star Trek: Cataclysm

Star Trek: Destiny Uncertain

Star Trek: The Return of the Wrath of Khan :D

Thank you. Anyone who thinks Ang Lee's Hulk was a great movie loses all credibility in my book.
That would be me. Its a great film...and very underrated and I have a lot of reasons why I think so. Its certainly better than the extremely mediocre Incredible Hulk :o

Anyway, I think they should visit more planets in the next one. A little more planet exploration and a little less floating in space in the middle of nowhere

Star Trek: Rebirth

Star Trek: The Great Beyond

Star Trek: Continuum

Star Trek: Unlimited

Id love to see J Js take on the Cardassians The Breen, Klingons most definately um some races from the Delta or Gamma quadrants would be really kool. The whole evil Romulan evil Klingon or renegade Vulcan thing gets old we need sumthin that has NEVER been in a trek film but is trek canon

Star Trek: Engage

Star Trek Beyond

Oblivion : Star Trek II

STII : Oblivion

Star Trek: The Rise Of Khan

Where No Man Has Gone Before

Star Trek 2.2

Star Trek Forever

When they do do the sequel I hope that they expand on the Uhura who by far was the worst written character in the movie. Its sad that in such a strong character driven movie that someone is written bad or falls short. Like Malin Akerman in Watchmen (but shes just a flat out bad actress)

How was Uhura anything more in the actual original series?

The film gave her more to do than TOS did.

Honestly I am not a fan of TOS
Its not that I dont like it its just one of those thing I nvr got a chance and now Im trying to catch up

and even if they did give her more in the film than in TOS they still didnt give her much to do besides be eye candy

I know that cant mimic the cultural impact that Uhura had but they can still make her more interesting

Honestly though, they gave her A LOT in this film, more than everyone expected..

Trek basically centers around Kirk, Spock and Bones.

The others have always been secondary characters in comparison.

Don't add a "2" (like they would anyway) or a subtitle. Just an associated name as the new title. It will help differentiate this new franchise from the old franchise. It doesn't need Star Trek in the title for people to know it is the sequel.

I wish Star Trek V: The Final Frontier wasn't regarded as the worst Trek film, because The Final Frontier would be a fantastic title for the sequel. Hell, they should name it that anyway.

How about...

Star Trek: Reign of Evil

Star Trek: Armageddon

Star Trek: Extinction

Star Trek: Dark Empire

Star Trek: Sovereignty

Star Trek: Eclipse

Star Trek: Dominion

Star Trek: Supreme Reign

Star Trek: Dark Shroud
