Star Trek XI Viral Campaign

For those of you out there interested in viral campaigns/ARG's, here's a link you might find interesting:

This seems to be a trailhead for a Star Trek viral and states that it will kick off some time this month (November of 08).

A previous trailhead had been discovered months ago at http://www.ncc-1701.com/ but seems to have dried up of late. The first link promises to go live this month and therefore seems to have the most potential of the two. For those who want to play catch-up with what has been documented/discussed so far on other boards, click here.

J.J. Abrams has a history with ARG's (Cloverfield) so I have faith this will go well.

Hey, this thing came to life!

I sure hope something happens. The site says it's going to call on us to join the construction crew of the Enterprise, which sounds pretty sweet. I can only imagine something is going to happen, but what and how immersive it is remains to be seen.

I would feel a lot better about this if 42E was behind it, but I don't think they are. Either way, a Star Trek viral has TONS of potential, here's hoping they make good use of it.

The film comes out in May so they have a few months to pull something off.
