Star Wars - Part 7

Since TPM in 3D is hitting theaters soon, I have to ask:

Despite how some of you felt about the movie, were there any scenes you liked?

- The underwater sequence as Obi Wan, Qui Gon and Jar Jar head back to the surface.

- Everything on Tatooine.

- The Duel of the Fates.

Agreed. If Star Wars pissed me off to the point where I couldn't stand it or George Lucas anymore, I would walk away from it. I wouldn't act like a whiny little twit and boo him at a convention or write mean songs about how he destroyed my childhood.

Sure, Lucas has made some decisions that has left me like :wall: in recent years. But I love Star Wars. I have no resistance when it comes to Star Wars. I was so mad about the changes to the blu-ray versions that I...ran out and got them on the first day anyway. :oldrazz:

This is me in my C-3PO costume on Halloween in 1979, when I was 5:

That's my sister in the Mickey Mouse costume. She now has a 4-year-old son who's just getting into Star Wars now, and he loves it. His cousins are obsessed with it too.

I went on Star Tours with my friend's kids at Disney World, and we spent the whole ride calling out lines from the Death Star battle at each other.

I think that's so awesome. For them, there will always be 6 Star Wars movies...and they will always be correcting me when I refer ANH as "the first movie." :oldrazz:

But this is their childhood, and having Star Wars in its current form doesn't seem to be destroying anything for them. They love it as much as we did, and that makes me happy, and it makes it a hell of lot easier to put my own gripes (and they're there) in perspective.

I would love to meet George Lucas. Just to say thank you.

 Great post!

Cute pic as well. :D

For those who wonder if Boba Fett survived the Sarlacc, here he is years later....

Jeremy Bulloch is a really nice guy. I met him at Star Wars Weekend in Orlando and got his autograph. If you're a SW fan, Star Wars Weekend is totally worth it. It's heaven.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the future generation of SW fans. it's already happening now. Now to them there is no line of what is better. All six films and the CW is SW to them. I guess it started with me when I saw TPM in theaters when I was 7 and others my age. I'll introduce my kids to all six movies and let them decide.

Kudos to you sir! The sheer amount of MASSIVE HATE that people throw at Lucas will always astond me.

I just watched this week's episode of TCW.

I can tell some of the influence on this episode was from Prison Break.

It was the first midnight showing I went to and I lined up with hundreds of others just to get tickets. The hype was insane. I don't remember a movie more hyped before or since Episode I.

I still have my ticket stub

When the "Lucas Film" logo came up people were going "Whoo! Yeah!"

He looks a bit like Jim Cameron.

Exactly, Star Wars is timeless and each generation is getting their piece to add to it, I really love that aspect and long may it continue!

So the book of sith arrived in the post yesterday! Haven't had too much time to properly check it out yet but it looks awesome.
I'll try and get some pics up soon of the sith and Jedi books!

Those look fantastic :woot:

Last night's CW episode was awesome. Dont want to give anything away for those who havent seen it, but check it out when you can. This story arc is going to be fun :awesome:

They do, that guy has an insane collection.

Ohhhh how I loved that ep and I think it's going to be an awesome 4 part arc. Rako Hardeen may be one of the best Star Wars names to date! :D
It looks like a who's who of bounty hunters will appear next week including the return of Embo! :awesome:

Awesome episode. I didn't catch the preview...does Boba come back? I loved his cameo this week.

So next week will see Obi Wan in full bounty hunter mode and donning a helmet he selects as shown in this preview.

As you can see below the show is once again paying homage as the helmet is one of the original concept designs for Boba's helmet.

I have noticed some rejected MaQaurie designs in this show throughout. The Slave Traders I believe were an early concept for Chewbacca.

This is my first comparison in a series of similarities between the DC Universe and the Star Wars Universe.

Boba Fett vs. Deathstroke

Really? I hadn't heard that. The show does a great job with it's nods to classic Star Wars and films in general, I mean this weeks Deception episode had a Face/Off influence I'd say, and of course there was the great ep that paid homage to the Seven Samurai.

In the season 3 finale, one of the wolf looking bad guy I think was a MaQuarrie rejected design as well. Ir maybe I'm getting things mixed up.

So I just got done finishing the book Revan and I have to say how utterly disappointed I am with this book. I was so excited to read a book that continued the story of KOTOR and I got engrossed with the story especially with the addition of many of the characters from both KOTOR 1 and 2.

Let's get down to brass tacks. If you are looking for a book about Revan, this is barely one. The story jumps from him to another character and yet another KOTOR character.

I also like happy endings so having this ending being left so open ended and an excuse to tie in TOR just kinda cheapened it.

I didn't read any of the reviews for this book but I probably should have. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. And I don't know what's worse. The after feelings I have of this book or the dwindling hope of a KOTOR 3 game.

I have a feeling I'm going to love this four part episode event. Loved the first episode. Could be my favorite of the season so far.

And once this 4-episode story arc ends, Darth Maul returns!

edit: Oops, that's later. Anyways, can't wait to see where this story goes.
