Star Wars - Part 9

Nice, but sorry I don't think so too. Ben did not kill stormtroopers to sneak around the Death Star, he used the Force so stealth fully that he was not detected. The purpose of his character was to show how non-violence can win battles too. He only acted in self-defense and dueled Vader to distract him and the storm troopers so that Luke, Han, Leia, and the droids could escape.

Tell that to Ponda Baba. :p ;)

^I know, but that was all done in self-defense just like Darth Vader.

i love how people draw conclusions to characters

So, it's official! Clone Wars Season 4: Obi-Wan's least favorite season!

And supposedly Lucas himself directed all the scenes in the Emperor's throne room.

Again, Lucas directed and his big presence in the editing room.

Yes well nothing in the prequels even comes close to that scene. No where near it. So he's either lost his mojo big time, or he never really had it.

He had it, he just didn't give a **** when it came time to do the Prequels. I believe he only did them for the money. In a way he went to the dark side himself.

He didnt need the money though. Its hard to say that about man who is constantly giving his money away

I think he genuinely wanted to tell a great story in the prequels. He just hasn't got the ability as a writer to tell a great story.

Well he has, but he needs a "garbage filter" working with him to tell him when he's doing something wrong. Not a bunch of yes men who are afraid of him.

The yes men weren't that much of problem. Steven Spielberg was, Lucas discussed with him that he was going to do the prequels and that he was essentially just going to lay the foundations and take a bit of a backseat while others did the big things, and he'd step in when he thought he was needed. But Spielberg told him he should do everything, and we ended up with a prequel trilogy that was on the whole, less than stellar.

I tell you we need Michael Bay to do Star Was :p

It wouldnt been 10 minutes in before we heard a gay jedi joke or some black jedi running around like a lunatic with his pants around his ankles. Or yoda farting while walking because he's old and old people fart uncontrollably...... get it?

Mace Windu would be smoking a suspicious looking contraption. Padme would be wearing a form of bikini. Anakin would be yelling OPTIM... oops i mean OBI WAN! every 10 minutes. Palpatine would be striking hammy menacing poses whilst saying "All hail Sideous!" The storm/clone troopers would be the most bad ass and awesome guys ever. American flags would some how appear.

I love this one :hehe:

It never fails to surprise me how people can perceive the same event so differently from one another.

this is why some people hate the prequels...they brought their preconceived notions into the film and when things filmed didn't fit they hated it.

Or maybe it's because some of us have actually read the rough drafts for the Journal of the Whills and backstory of Anakin's fall and know the concepts in it would have been better in the prequels today... :whatever:

Or maybe it's just because the prequels were crap films that failed to do what they were created to do, which was tell us how Anakin became Vader, in a good way.

Well, its not their fault superior ideas and scripts were thrown to the wayside in favor of the flawed scripts that were used. It is somewhat upsetting.

There's an old film saying...not everything that looks good on paper looks good on film
