Despite maybe playing for a few hours last night, Battlefront 2 is an unprecedented improvement over the first game. Really like how you being able to fly a ship or control a hero depends on how many points you garner in a game rather than scouring for a random pickup across the map.
I'm definitely going to be picking up the Elite Trooper edition.![]()
Someone mind explaining what "pay to win" is?
it's as god awesome said it's where some pay for better in games item to help progress the game better in both competitive game play and solo content . and these items are wall off by you the player having to pay for them. thus in a simple word, they are Nickle and diming you making you pay extra money all for new content that is suspected to have been in the base game by the publishers that may have been left out/ removed on purpose by those same publishers in the game industry with their in-game cash stores.Someone mind explaining what "pay to win" is?

Gamers have been taking aim at Star Wars: Battlefront 2 over the past few weeks after the game's beta raised concern over whether or not that game will feature pay-to-win microtransactions with loot crates. The controversy escalated so much that the ESRB was dragged into for comment and so was PEGI.
EA/DICE has finally come out to comment on the controversy and 'clarify' a few things. The following statement comes from a post regarding the beta.
We know you have a lot of questions about Crates and progression, so we want to clarify a few things, as the complete system was not in the Beta and will continue to be tuned over time:
In addition to the statement on loot crates, EA/DICE said they were looking to make the game as balanced as possible, as well as considering changing Strike mode to a best of three, altering the Specialists Infiltration ability - as it might be overpowered, and adding more firepower to the First Order Flametrooper.
- There are many things you can earn in the game, including weapons, attachments, credits, Star Cards, Emotes, Outfits and Victory Poses.
- As a balance goal, were working towards having the most powerful items in the game only earnable via in-game achievements.
- Crates will include a mix of of Star Cards, Outfits, Emotes or Victory Poses.
- Players earn crates by completing challenges and other gameplay milestones, or by purchasing them with in-game credits or Crystals, our premium currency.
- If you get a duplicate Star Card in a crate, you will get crafting parts which you can then use to help upgrade the Star Card of your choice.
- And lastly, you have to earn the right to be able to upgrade Star Cards and unlock most Weapons. You can only upgrade or unlock them if you have reached a high enough rank, which is determined by playing the game.
None the I've heard of yetAre there any Last Jedi spoilers in the game? Should I wait until after Dec 15 to get it?
it's as god awesome said it's where some pay for better in games item to help progress the game better in both competitive game play and solo content . and these items are wall off by you the player having to pay for them. thus in a simple word, they are Nickle and diming you making you pay extra money all for new content that is suspected to have been in the base game by the publishers that may have been left out/ removed on purpose by those same publishers in the game industry with their in-game cash stores.
the thing is the loot box thing was made specifically to not have practice of Dlc which player were complaining for years about certain publisher cheating player to milk them for more money out for the content.
And the loot box's were the solution and made an industry standard cause of the games like "OverWatch " starting the loot box trend , starting with them being cosmetic items there were supposed to be other model's.
but they have to Explain and show how it's remain fair to the player that don't pay for the in game cash items withy real world money for the best items/ gear. not the only to do that is to make sure the epic gear you earn in game is the same as in shop's and there isn't anything higher. and they can be earned absolutely in game. but certain publisher like WBE (which is having hard me time cause they are saying this.
But it's has yet to be proven to he gamer's satisfaction ) and EA (which has be shady with their practices of late , next to others like Activsion alot lately, that owns the marvel X-men legends and MUA games that have been repeatedly screwing over both marvel and gamer that love that games series)and Ubisoft have done their own models publisher but cause they aren't explaining or show t how they aren't cheat people people don't trust them.
^^But that's the reason gamer have suspisions . it was recent with EA,
the loot box system were made specifically as a way to make money and drop the old complained method of DLC so games studios would add thing like map's and story content free of charge instead as Dlc pac's which people complain about.
People would pay for costumes or gear but any thing Epic like special weapon's or items would or should be left out of the store or be able to access by earning it in the game. the point is those that buy in store item aren't supposed to have an advantage over those that don't bother with the store and to keep things fare.
It was what it was made for. but it looks like certain publisher's current day boss's are trying to Explote the system with their own models which is the problem at play here fort some gamer who suspect Ea's up to it's old trick so Dice has to on be half of Ea this is ne of their boss's at Ea's scam's .

None the I've heard of yet
Agreed , ( the only ones that have actaully proven themselves so far are over watch and games like marvel heroes omega that went with the cosmetic thing with costume's while using the loot boxe's ) yet where Dice is involved while currently under EA are telling people in other "Gamer news outlet's" this with articles like this for example. Time stampped@ 4:01/ 5 :48 and fallowing & confriming that is a written article from PCGN there's other out let's saying the same.None of Dices "solutions" actually address the core issue. progression is still tied to loot boxes, those boxes still contain gameplay enhancing items ergo if someone dumps 100 extra bucks into this **** day one, they already the advantage over those who can't . The only reason why people are even attempting to defend this nonsense is because of the IP. If Overwatch's loot boxes worked this way at launch, that game would have been DOA.
It's infuriating because all they had to do was do what Overwatch does and make this stuff cosmetic rather than put their own ****ed up EA spin on it.
