vic goes into further explantaion on why they are concentraitng on the shorter story lenght and a warning from former bio ware Dev.

Great news!

This should calm people who were worried about the P2W system (including me).

Glad they took the player feedback to heart. More companies should.

Has any more offline content been confirmed? I’m hoping we get more than just arcade mode. I’d love to be able to play more Skirmish modes against offline bots like in Battlefront

Got more news from EPN.tv and a confirmation of their rundown video from game zone

Yeah I hate to be that guy, but they would have to completely redesign the progression system from the ground up to fix the pay 2 win angle. That's how it was designed. No amount of minor tinkering is going to change that. Hopefully the single player stuff is cool enough to justify picking this up used or buying a discounted key for it second hand, but I'm not going anywhere near this at launch.

I haven't read up on the progression stuff in the game, but I'm hoping it's not too much of a brutal pay to win scenario. Ultimately I'm buying this for the single player. I'm halfway through the Inferno Squadron book and should be done with that just in time to dive into Battlefront II. The multiplayer, for me, is just gonna be a fun way to get my occasional Star Wars fix.

hmm that better not be about what both EPN.tv (in video and EGm, reported/ comnfimred with the video about the dlc with fine beinging in it. cause as Gameinfomer has it their aticle the one that revealed it to the gamer news out lets was as said below

So if any one spoiled that, it was the studio them selves

Anyway I got a new video podcast inter with the dev'[s from Dice

So apparently 6 of the 14 heroes will be locked behind credits. Vader and Luke currently cost 60,000 credits (coming from EA Access trial players).

This has caused a chaos on the forums and Reddit.

I am SO disappointed. Huge SW fan and have the game pre-ordered, but this is horrendous.

It's better than having to pay money to use them.
Now, for those who choose to, people could still buy credits.

I miss the days of playing through a game to unlock something,
as opposed to having to pay to have it unlocked through DLC.

For as much as I'll most likely be playing, anyway, I don't mind earning
the 60,000 credits. Vader & Skywalker were never my favorites to play as anyway.

It should. I am considering cancelling my preorder and not buying. It is utter ********.

I was also considering that, but I love SW and I will keep mine with the hope that EA might at least reduce those credit numbers or at least to increase credits gained from each match (besides I think I can't considering I already played the beta with early access). At least I didn't pre-order Deluxe.

I will grind but won't throw money for credits to unlock these heroes. I have paid full price for the game to have some features available by default - like Luke and Vader. Removing and putting them behind a credit wall at launch is taking away one of the most fundamental things about this franchise from this game. They SHOULD be there free for anyone to try and enjoy.

Also, apparently when the TLJ season is released next month, Finn and Phasma also won't come for free, but for certain amount of credits (which means more grinding for heroes while other players are grinding like crazy for crates and get star cards equipped, thus having the advantage on the battlefront at a later point in time).

To the post above, you wouldn't mind grinding 60,000 credits for 40 hours, then (for ONE hero only and nothing else included like star cards, etc)?

Because a person on Reddit calculated that based on current credit earn from each match.

Is it weird that I found the trailer for the story in this one to be more interesting than Episode 8?

Welp, really, really happy that EA is ignoring the Switch.

Such a pity they are the only ones that can make Star Wars games.

So, apparently you have to play 40 hours of gameplay just to unlock Vader.

I had tons of fun with the Beta, so much so I considered buying this. Now? Nope. EA took the criticism from the first game and played it like they learned from it. Turns out they just found a way around it. No thanks.

Or Luke. Each cost that much. Leia and the Emperor are basically 30 hours each as well. Take you 15 hours each for Chewie and Iden and the DLC characters are going to cost more.
