Ass-pire. It's all in the name. This is at least the third Star Wars disappointment they've delivered in just a handful of years. Remarkable considering they mostly do ports.

Yikes. How's the response been to the single player aspect?

From what I've seen the offline is mostly fine, if a bit unpolished, it's the online side where it becomes a mess.

After watching some YouTube videos it does seem like the ball was dropped majorly with the online multiplayer but since I rarely delved into that with the original games I was more interested in revisiting the single player campaign anyway. I'll probably bite when there's a sale, which given the reception could be fairly soon.

From what I've seen, the campaign for BF2 is missing 50% of the cutscenes as well. Definitely wait for patches and a discount.

IIRC the cutscenes were nothing special, just clips from the movies with new narration from Temuera Morrison as a member of the 501st but it's still lame that they're not all here.

Recently hit 1070 hours in BF2 and continue playing since launch to this day. Just an amazing game and the ultimate Star Wars experience.

That would be the last thing I want. Crafting a truly great SP campaign is not in the cards. It would just be a resource drain. When BF2 became great it was when they finally made the MP what it should've been in the first place.

I don’t play multiplayer so I couldn’t care less about those aspects. I did enjoy the SP campaign we got though and hope we get another.

Love Battlefront, been doing my part in this recent surge! BF2 made such a U-turn and was dropped at the worst possible time (for Battlefield 2042 no less). It still looks great today. I wouldn't object to a new gen re-release/remaster of this if it could jumpstart fresh content updates. I'd love a BF3 of course but I have no hope in a new title launching with a good selection of maps/characters/weapons etc.

With all the new Hype around Battlefront, it still is not sitting right with me how easy EA got away with holding the Exclusive Rights to Star Wars games and barely did anything with it.
So much time wasted and so few games made, so many games cancelled by EA.

A new battlefront should have existed long time now.
Even i who isnt into multiplayer shooters, played a ton of Battlefront 2.

Haven't they made like 5? That's a decent amount and all were pretty darn good. The weakest being Squadrons.

We are now 4 years post-exclusivity and it isn't like other companies are churning them out. Really loved Outlaws.
