"What we’re buying… is a pretty extensive & detailed treatment for the next three movies.”

Quote from conference call.

I take it as first they will make the sequel trilogy, actual Episode seven, eight and nine. And after that they will start to probably churn out individual movies.

After that I would wish for the PT to be rebooted and redone.

Ya and they will need the time to get it going too. So I think December will be it.

They can do it in June; there's nothing big opening in that month anyway.

That is what it seems like to me. Complete the saga and start running out individual films(possibly EU-adapted films?).

World wide it would still be too close to The Avengers 2, they would want everything they can get out of that. Toys ect. So I think December would be the logical choice. Right before Christmas, the toy sales, would be off the charts.

with all due respect....hell nah

With all due respect hell ya lol. I know you like the PT but I did not care for it at all. But who knows I'm not in control lol.

Or move TA2 and put Star Wars on its rightful throne of May?

I could see that..pull a LOTR

Star Wars will need more production time then The Avengers 2 I think. So I would rather it be December, who cares about what month it is. It's just a date.

Considering they dont have a story, script or director yet (as far as we know)? i think it might be prudent to take their time here.

Begins was made in 3 years, so was TDK from scratch. It's more then enough time.

Yeah I know, but it would great to have the 4th be with everyone.

and you would be in a very small minority....people @#$%^ and @#$%^& when minor tweaks are made to the OT...what do you think is gonna happen if its gonna be rebooted

Ya I think it's the other way around, but lets not get into that. I think the PT is not as loved as some like to believe. But let's not get into this crap I tire of it.

Walt to be transferred to carbonite, as part of the deal?

I think they have a story treatment for a film and that they have started discussing with writers. If so, that would be a fairly reasonable place to be with a release year of 2015.

No offense, but this is Star Wars, not Batman lol. This kind of fantasy\sci-fi movies are a different kind of monster imo. Unless Lucas gave them a lot more than what i think he did in terms of story, script, etc, it could be difficult getting it done in time.

Eh Lucas made each of them in 3 years, and he was doing those on the fly. He was full of it saying he had all three of them planned out, if he did it was very little. 3 is more then enough time. LOTR the entire trilogy was made in 6 years. And that is much bigger.

As long as they're using Lucas' treatments/story ideas I'm more optimistic. There's no denying he's a fantastic idea man.

Who are some of your favourite picks for directors/writes? The Nolans? Duncan Jones? Matthew Vaughn? Josh Trank? Neill Blomkamp?

For me, I'd love to see Abrams, Del Torro, or Blomkamp handle it. I love Nolan, but I just can't see his style fitting with Star Wars.

Yah, and Lucas is the creator of that universe, clearly that was an advantage when it came to getting the PT made. No one knows SW like he does. Even when it came to the OT he stepped in and helped both directors to get things back on track. Watching how these movies were made.... just seems like a different beast than other movies. And believe me, Disney doesnt want to mess it up. You dont want a bunch of SW whiny fans on ur back complaining lol (and no matter how good 7, 8 and 9 are there will be complaints... you know it and i know it lol)

LOTR were based off famous books and were shot at the same time. If they do that here, it might make it easier for 8 and 9. This is all my opinion, naturally, and therefore not fact.

As far as directors go? hmmm. Not Nolan lol. I could see Abrams do it beautifully, but he's busy with ST, so i dunno bout him, at least for episode 7. Wait, do u think they will hire one director for all three movies, or will they go with different ones each time? I do think there's a bunch of directors fighting for that job tonight haha

Josh Trank, so he can pull out of the FF reboot and Fox will have no choice but to let the rights revert back to Marvel. :word::up:
