That floating Stormtrooper shootout is a cool lift from the Total Recall remake.

I don't have Disney XD anymore either. I'm assuming episodes will be posted on starwars.com, like The Clone Wars was. Or hulu. I'm sure Disney's website as well, but I think you'd need to be an existing subscriber to a cable package that carries Disney XD to watch it there.

Not just any look, either — the Jedi hunter is having a lightsaber fight with rebels Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Ezra (Taylor Gray) in this exclusive scene. /Film: For the next few years, you obviously are concentrating on Star Wars Rebels. But is a Star Wars spin-off movie something you’d want to do? Would you want to get in line to direct whether it be a Rebels movie or some random spin-off movie 10 years down the road?

Dave Filoni: Oh, of course. That’s a selfish thing to say, but of course. I mean, if I were to get an opportunity like that A, I wouldn’t turn it down. B, I would see it as a great honor to do it. And I would apply all my Jedi knowledge to doing it as best I can. When I see these spin-offs happening, I’ve got definitely more than a few ideas of things that I would love to see finished and some things that makes them, I think, personally great stories.

One of the highlights of San Diego Comic-Con for me was Star Wars Rebels. Not only did I finally get to see and revel in the fantastic pilot, I got the chance to discuss it with two of its executive producers, Dave Filoni and Simon Kinberg. In a 15-year professional career, it was the first time I got to sit down and discuss Star Wars with people directly involved in Star Wars. It was pretty exciting.

Over the course of the next few days, we’re going to share the highlights of these one on one interviews. To start, I talked with both men about where, when and how Star Wars Rebels fits into the overall canon of Star Wars, what that means, how it effects their storytelling, and linking into the original trilogy.
