Can't beat a spot of duel of the fates! :D This is looking like it will be good and introduce a couple of cool new villains to the saga as well as a foxy now Mandolorian! :hyper:

That floating Stormtrooper shootout is a cool lift from the Total Recall remake.

hopefully they will also air eps on the regular Disney channel.

y'know......for those of us who don't get Disney XD.......:o

I don't have Disney XD anymore either. I'm assuming episodes will be posted on starwars.com, like The Clone Wars was. Or hulu. I'm sure Disney's website as well, but I think you'd need to be an existing subscriber to a cable package that carries Disney XD to watch it there.

Very excited. Man I was hoping for September, but ah well.

hope they post the eps online.

I am unreasonably excited to see Artoo meet Chopper.

Entertainment Weekly - 'Star Wars Rebels' fight scene: The Inquisitor has a tricky lightsaber

It’s The Inquisitor in action! Here’s the first clip from Star Wars Rebels that gives us a long look at the galaxy’s new big bad (voiced by Jason Isaacs). Not just any look, either — the Jedi hunter is having a lightsaber fight with rebels Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Ezra (Taylor Gray) in this exclusive scene. The footage from Disney XD’s hotly anticipated new animated series just debuted at Rebels Comic-Con event Thursday.

The more I see, the more I like this corner of the SW universe.

Good things have been said about what was shown at SDCC as well.

This show looks great....the only problem i have with filoni is that the only background aliens he knows are Rodians and Hammerheads.

I like what I'm hearing about all these characters. I can't decide which Rebel has me the most intrigued. The villains look great as well

R2D2 and C3PO are both in the show.

Also, a character resembling McQuarrie's original design for C3PO is also in it as a separate character.

‘Star Wars Rebels’ and ‘Clone Wars’ Director Dave Filoni Open to Helming Spin Off
Germain Lussier said:
/Film: For the next few years, you obviously are concentrating on Star Wars Rebels. But is a Star Wars spin-off movie something you’d want to do? Would you want to get in line to direct whether it be a Rebels movie or some random spin-off movie 10 years down the road?

Dave Filoni:
Oh, of course. That’s a selfish thing to say, but of course. I mean, if I were to get an opportunity like that A, I wouldn’t turn it down. B, I would see it as a great honor to do it. And I would apply all my Jedi knowledge to doing it as best I can. When I see these spin-offs happening, I’ve got definitely more than a few ideas of things that I would love to see finished and some things that makes them, I think, personally great stories.

Star Wars: Rebels producer on the challenge to 'surprise people inside of the canon’
Germain Lussier said:
One of the highlights of San Diego Comic-Con for me was Star Wars Rebels. Not only did I finally get to see and revel in the fantastic pilot, I got the chance to discuss it with two of its executive producers, Dave Filoni and Simon Kinberg. In a 15-year professional career, it was the first time I got to sit down and discuss Star Wars with people directly involved in Star Wars. It was pretty exciting.

Over the course of the next few days, we’re going to share the highlights of these one on one interviews. To start, I talked with both men about where, when and how Star Wars Rebels fits into the overall canon of Star Wars, what that means, how it effects their storytelling, and linking into the original trilogy. Read their quotes about the Star Wars Rebels plot connections below.

First up, here’s my discussion with Dave Filoni about the Star Wars Rebels plot. Filoni is not only the executive producer of Rebels, he was the showrunner and driving force behind Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

I surprise there no Princess Leia, Han Solo, or young Luke Skywalker..........I guess for a future season......Will this lead to the events of a new hope?

Want to see the first 7 minutes of #StarWarsRebels? Tune in to to Disney XD tonight. A sneak peek will air after Phineas and Ferb SW!
