hunter rider said:It's a fantasy film, they could rebuild him with that design in the same way Anakin was rebuilt despite being fried alive
You never saw what was at the bottom of the shaft in the films, and Lucas has stated that only the films are cannon. For all the audience knows, Maul falling down the shaft is no different than Luke doing so in ESB.StarWarsAgent said:Darth Maul was cut in half and fell into Naboo's core reactor..It's made of pure energy, like getting hit with 100,000 volts. No one was there to save him and take him to a Medical center. He died.

Maul didn't fall off one of those catwalks, he fell down a hole in a completely different room.StarWarsAgent said:You see the Naboo core in TPM. Remember those long, tubes with the light running thru them? they take the energy from the core to the surface. If you fall down there you are dead. most of the duel took place there..on the catwalks..it's obvious from the movies that no person should go in there, as there are dangerous walls, electrical equipment everywhere and all kinds of dangerous places..it's like going into a nuclear reactor and falling inside of it. disintegration or other. Maul died. can we move along now?

hunter rider said:They switch the reactor off and find his remains and then attach him to the droid parts,no big deal and way better than GG was
StarWarsAgent said:Nothing could be better than GG. Nothing at all, I've done some studies about this..GG could beat, Robocop, Terminator, Batman, and any other cyborg in any other movie.
hunter rider said:GG sucked, worst SW villain in any of the movies,he looked like a goofball
as for who he could beat in fantasy land i'll pass,to nerdy for me
StarWarsAgent said:Ok, now you are just pissin' me off. I was trying to have a decent conversation. GG is stronger than any Cyborg in any movie, anyday, anytime!
hunter rider said:I'm pissing you off ? how because i don't agree with you ?as for who is stronger in fictional worlds ? are you 5 ?
StarWarsAgent, if Lucas had decided to have Maul survive, then you would be here right now praising the idea. Be honest with yourself.StarWarsAgent said:Darth Maul died guys. What movie were you all watching?

Danger Mouse said:SWA, Maul's survival was from a comic book that is not canon. It's a "What If" story. As far as canon is concerned, unless Lucas confirms otherwise, Maul is dead. So, dude, CHILL OUT. No need to get worked up on the details.
Dude, I'm sorry, but that drawing is indeed from a comic book. Dark Horse, no less. I have a copy of it.StarWarsAgent said:Hi, DangerMouse. I'm chillin, beer in hand and all. But see, that drawing is not even from any comic book. I have all the star wars comics, from Marvel to Dark Horse. That's not in it, That drawing is from a concept drawing, I think it may be Ryan, he drew it for EP3 and showed it to Lucas and he just laughed..the drawing was posted on Starwars.com. The drawing itself is not even canon. I said numerous times Darth Maul is dead, but some users here continue to argue about it.
Saying that, It's been a while since I've read the Zanh's books. I don't even think it was ever called "Thrawn trilogy" anyways. I haven't read the books in a while. "Heir to the Empire and "The last command" Luke clone, lol, that was funny.

Star Wars: Visionaries
That drawing came from the story entitled "Old Wounds" within that comic. But as I said, it's not canon. There's even a disclaimer to this effect.
Okay, I know I'm going to burn in hell for arguing microscopically trivial issues, but what the heck. I have nothing better to do at this hour, anyway. That being said, what's your definition of comic book, SWA?StarWarsAgent said:It's not really a comic book. It's just a collection of drawings they did for ROTS. I have the book too. the drawings come from Lucasfilm, not Dark Horse..However I do have the Darth Maul Comic books, where he takes off his shirt and kicks butt. And yeah, it's not canon..I keep saying that, but others ignore it.
BTW I been collecting Star Wars comic books since 1981.

By the way, I'm glad we agree that Maul's resurrection is not canon. And yes, Zahn's books are actually called the Heir to the Empire Trilogy, not Thrawn's Trilogy.
