Always liked Gambit. Couldn't really tell you why, since he's just a mass of clichés tied together by a Cajun accent. Maybe because he was one of the more fun parts of the '90s cartoon.

I don't get the Gambit hate. The dude is cool to me. He's got cool powers, and a decent and witty personality. Sometimes I think the lot of ya are just too angry for your own damn good. Back in my day we only had 1 superhero to read about, and that was in the Sunday paper! And back then we had to share the paper with the whole neighborhood because it was fifTEEN cents. God damn youngins!

He's awesome in Marvel vs Capcom, and one of the enjoyable things to me about that bleh cartoon of the 90s that made the cartoon stick up a little more than boring

I've always loved Gambit but feel his constantly being tied to a love battle with Rogue takes away from the character. He's been on his own in X-23 and I've been loving it! My favorite scene of late was when he took out Daken by blowing up his arm, and then I loved him in the 90's during the first issue of his ongoing when he took out the X-Cutioner by spitting a charged piece of chewing gum in X-Cutioner's face and blew him out the back of a train. Dude was cool!

But yeah, big fan of Gambit

I never thought he really added anything to the X-Men power-wise when he joined, and yes he is a bit of a walking cliche (and one that walks around in a god-awful pink shirt to boot). That said, I do like the actual character, he always had great lines when written well. And its easy to forget that the Gambit-Rogue relationship was pretty good before it got drawn out to death.

Boy! dont you know that leather coat phase fad has played out! oh but he cant take it off cause unlike other heroes who during that period could. his is part of his stupid costume!the throwing cards thing was cool for a bit then he started charging up and throwing basketballs and other stuff. Huh?!? Gambit unequivocally SUCKS and thats the name of that tune!!

I loved Gambit when the 90's X-Men cartoon came out but never really got into the character in the comics. I never was and never have been a big X-Men guy.

I'm pretty sure his coat isn't supposed to be leather. Just, you know... just sayin'.

He's an athletic person who hops around. A lether trench would weigh him down so I always figured it was a normal cloth trench.
