Poison Ivy

I like Ivy when she's portrayed as a mysterious seductress. As a straight-up plant-based villain, she's kind of generic. But when she's poisoning dudes by getting them to make out with her, she's kind of cool. Her new costume in Birds of Prey sucks, though.

I dig Ivy, not just because I'm a sucker from redheads, but because I like her motherly tendencies. Though I don't think they focus on that aspect as much anymore, been awhile since I've read a story with her. I think it was during No Man's Land that she really showed that part of herself. It was the story about her taking over Gotham Park and how she had all these orphans in there and was protecting them.

I know the basic concept of hawkman, and it's never appealed to me. Neither has his aesthetic.

I haven't read too many comics that focus solely on him. I did read daniels' hawkman #1, but I'm not expecting anything by daniels to impress me.

Well, that's it for Pam.

If they had shown me pictures of her when I was a kid, I'd probably eat more vegetables.....see what I did there? :awesome:

Big Barda

Should make more porn with Superman...

I'd love to see a comic with her and her husband adventuring across the universe. I doubt it'll happen, but that'd be cool. I kind of view Barda as DC's version of She-Hulk. She's one of the few heroes who genuinely seems to enjoy her power rather than being buried under tons of guilt and responsibility.

Any babe that can hold a MEGA-ROD.......ROCKS!!!!
:cwink:

plus she looked good as hell wearing plastic man!

Barda has always been really great. Kirby's best female creation for DC without question.

She was inspired by Lainie Kazan:

I'd still bang her. Even now that she's old and fat. :o

only Barda can rock a plastic dress so good!

I :hrt: Barda

She's one of my favourite Jack Kirby creations and one of my favourites of the New Gods.

I second the desire for a comic book about her and Mr Miracle adventuring through the universe. I'm hoping that the utterly atrocious Death of the New Gods has been retconned away and that she's back along with everyone else

And she is amazing hawtness in a plastic dress or in battle armour :atp:

That's it for Barda.

Man, Bruce Timm knows how to draw him some Barda.

Orion

He's a serious badass. DC's Thor and in fact the New Gods were a continuation of Kirby's Tales of Asgard series.

He should be a much bigger player in the DCU than he is.

"release the dog of war Sturmer!" That Dude is the &^%$#! He rocks like a uh well new god!! I love that High Father and Darkseid switched kids and so my boy has to play "nice" but has some serious daddy issues( how come some of the best characters have some jacked up families going on?!?) and all sorts of pissiness boiling underneath! That dude is a great character and i agree he should be a major player!! O *Rocks like the Casaba!

*see the clash

I haven't really got a strong opinion one way or another about Orion. He has had some pretty cool moments though and some funny ones in JLI too

That's it for the Dog of war.

The Authority

I Tried Really hard to get into The Authority but it just didn't happen. A shame, 'cos that book's a friggin' talent-magnet...

No real opinion on them but I don't like violent superhero comics. As long as they are kept away from characters I DO care about, I don't care.

Dang, these are going fast and furious now. One might almost say they're going 2 fast or even 2 furious. They're Tokyo drifting out of here like--okay, I'll stop now. :o

I don't really have much of an opinion on the Authority because I've read a bunch of stuff with them, but none of it is the stuff that all the Authority fans point to as their best. What I have read of them portrays them as a bunch of unsympathetic asshats who spend as much time fighting amongst themselves as they do protecting the world (without really giving a damn about its people). But that may be a mischaracterization because, like I said, I haven't read a lot of their supposedly best stuff.

Love the authority! Love all of them, I was ify about bringing them into the DC universe cause it is going to be a watered down version of them but we shall see.
