I FREAKIN LOVE GLADIATOR!! probably my favorite Superman rip EVER!! (i dont hold that against him!) Forget that SENTRY guy!! this is MARVEL's Superman!! i always wondered if he wore glasses and slick that mohawk down to a comb over to hide that! Maybe worked at "the Interplanetary daily" with Princess Leia lane!

and i miss PALADIN!! DAMN MAN and STINGRAY!! Both those dudes are the everlovin BOMB!! Paladin is always shooting bad guys and then making out with chicks with caviar... uh not putting caviar on chicks i mean eating caviar with chicks... uh no! thats not right either! forget it!! you get the meaning! hehe

I like Gladiator TONS. Agree with Black Vulcan to the max. He is Marvel's best Superman riff. Yes, even more so than Hyperion or Sentry. I do wish they went back to making him this unstoppable cosmic badass. It seems he gets jobbed alot to give other characters bona fides. I've lost track of him. Last I heard he was heading up the Shi'ar empire. There's an epic story in telling exactly how he became Praetor or the Shi'ar Guard, beholden to an Empire that he could have ruled from the start if he so chose to. His back story needs some expanding. Still, a good character. I kinda wish he had a way to be on The Avengers. Maybe get him bonded to Rick Jones via the Nega Bands?

I would agree with this. I've enjoyed Gladiator for a long time.

I was never a fan of the FOX X-Men toon, but I loved when Gladiator made his first appearance there and just smacked away Juggernaut.

There's an example as to why I don't like him. If Hulk can't just smack Juggernaut away, nobody should be able to.

Gladiator is great I like his backstory and the fact that he's loyal to the pint where he'll do bad things even though he's a person. I don't like the vilainization of him by Bendis n All-New X-Men and GotG where he's like let's murder this youg girl for a crime she didn't commit and probbly won't. He just came out as an Jackass and an idiot. I don't fault the character himself for that, I blame Bendis cause I love blaming Bendis =D. You know what I think i have an great idea for the next character =D Oh and welcome back BlackVulcan! =D

His run for Daredevil was undoubtedly significant. I've only read a tiny fraction, which I wasn't thrilled with (compared to the hype), but I wonder if it'll be better with greater context. He's certainly a prolific writer that a lot of people enjoy, so I'm not going to say anything too negative without reading more. Clearly he's doing something right.

He has good stuff, like Daredevil, Powers, maybe a few others. He ruined the Avengers, and he's ruined Marvel in general. I hate his guts and I hope he gets lice. Lice that have been cross breed with Bed Bugs....so Vampire Lice....in his pubes.

oh and like Krypton said him and juggy in Xmen was awesome but this is by far my greatest GLAD moment!!.. hehe sorry but i LOVE THAT DUDE!

Gladiator is great. I've always liked him as he had a great sense of personal responsibility when it came to being loyal to the empire. He did his best to be loyal to the Empire itself, not the person ruling it and even when Lilandra came to him for help when Vulcan took over even though I'm pretty sure he was in love with her he still couldn't make himself betray the empire even for her.

He's a great character that they didn't do enough with until Annihilation and afterwards. Love what they've done with him now with him being the ruler of the Shiar. His kid is lots of fun too. I always expected that they would have had him running the Shiar, Ronan running the Kree and them both agreeing to leave Earth the **** alone by sealing it off to it's own solar system for a few decades until it calmed down.

Bendis - I'm on the fence with him. He's done a good amount of work that I've really enjoyed over the years, His run on DD, Powers and the first big chunk of USM but he's also done some really lousy work that annoyed me quite a bit and I've hated his runs in Avengers and a few other things which I found made it almost unreadable for years.

All in all, I have to admit he's been a huge influence in the industry,

He's been around for awhile. Like since the 90's. They've been using him every now and then since then. Sooo, He's not exactly likely to be forgotten.


But ANYWAY...I dig him. Cool character. Cool motivation. Not really a bad guy but a good guy whose willing to do whatever he feels is necessary to get s**t done. He should have his own book.

Plus he's black.
