Paladin's great he's a merc for hire that mostly cares about money and dosen't really have a moral compass as long as the jb pays but he does have some heroic moments and i really liked his relationship with Misty Knight in th lates Heroes for Hre run. I feel like everything wrong with the 90s was just said in that sentence.

That being said, I don't think Paladin himself is the problem. The problem was too many characters just like that. I like Gambit, but there can only be so many Gambits. And I don't think a more EXTREME Gambit is an improvement.

He was last seen in Captain America as being behind D-Man's brainwashing to be the new Scourge. I think Gyrich himself was brainwashed but I can't recall. Whatever the details, he's supposedly rotting in a SHIELD jail.
