Psylocke's one of those characters like Angel, Beast, or most of the Robins, who went thru a lot of adventures before they wound up with their final form. That "Acts of Vengeance" story is super-weird, btw.

I wish somebody else had gotten that armor she used to wear. Damn that suit was cool.

I like her a lot. I started reading comics in the 90's when she was wearing her bathing suit costume. So that was interesting.

I love her connection to the larger MU with the European Marvel books. Its a shame they basically ignored that part of her for so long as its pretty awesome.

I can only comment her as Betsy Braddock in Captain Britain and her early appearances in X-Men. Since I know she changes dramatically, it's hard to really comment. However, her early appearances were great. She had a defiant attitude and basically perfectly balanced being girly and badass. Her psychic avatar (can't think of a better word) was a butterfly with eyes, but she could psychically blast people with it.

I loved her in the pre-90's X-Men books. Everything from the Mutant Massacre up to the end of the Australia arc is gold with her.

Psy is one of those characters who makes my head hurt! she was a middle aged English chick with purple hair who all of sudden become some hot ass Asian babe with no explanation. i know its comics but damn give me something!! i am totally indifferent to her. i dont hate or dig her... just yeah whatever! and turn the page! ..but that being made in the 90's where every character needed a knife or blade or hook or something steely to plunge into someone( plus being a freaking ninja since everybody had to be a ninja!) really didnt help her cause with me! so a big "whatever" to chick

In fairness, she wasn't middle-aged. She was early 20s at the most. She thought about joining the New Mutants over the X-Men (and had a, frankly inappropriate, crush on Doug Ramsey). Not saying I don't think the body swap was weird (I'm going to wait until I read it in context), but I'm only defending her age.

I dont know man the way they drew that chick she looked a tad bit older than in her 20's( mid 30's to me) she might have been but ... but again she got changed into a HOT FREAKIN BABE which made no sense!

I recently saw a video recapping all the members of the X-Men over the years, and I was annoyed to see Shan listed as a recent addition (with her *****in robot let, was that from Second Coming?) because she's been part of the X-Men universe for sooooooo much longer.

Xian is an extremely interesting character that no one ever really seemed to do anything with. She added a very interesting dynamic to the New Mutants, then she disappeared, then she came back to great fanfare, and then disappeared again.

She's got one of the creepiest powers ever by a good guy and she has a compelling backstory. It's a shame she wasn't used more.
