Another of my top 5 DC superheroes. His powers are fascinating. I hated what they did to him during/around Countdown with all that Monarch business but he's back to normal and his new book is great!

My opinion -> Who's Captain Atom? Didn't like his family die in a JSA arc or something? His costume is all shiny like Captain Planet's.

AH okay...I'm totally researching Captain Atom when I get home. I've heard him in passing but he's always seemed to be in the background of any JLA I've ever read, and I don't know him well enough to pick up his comics. Except there was a reboot? Should get that one...

I liked him in JLU because he actually acted like he was in the military.

I've loved Captain Atom since I read a few of his comics from back in the day and his Bwa-Ha-Ha League stuff. But he's been mishandled pretty badly lately, so I eventually figured they'd never fix him and just lost interest.

Breach was a pretty cool revamp of the Captain Atom concept, too.

Yeah, there's only a handful of them. One of Marcos Martin's earliest mainstream works.

Yeah, I got the whole series. Breach was pretty damn good.

So was Bloodhound which came out around the same time.

I only like his 60's appearances and the 80's series that Cary Bates wrote, but that's because Bates is one of those writers that is actually a science-fiction writer (they don't exist in comics anymore).

I did like the original event back in the day. I loved when Superman just willed the ring off of Guy Gardner. I also like the fact that they changed it from Captain Atom because somebody leaked it or something?


Who was the guy from that event? Waverunner or something?
