State Your Opinion on a Marvel Character - Part 1

I like Cable more for his relationships than his personality or guns or anything. Since he's Cyclops' son and Hope's "father", and from the future, he'll always have an interesting role to play in the X-books, and sometimes he's written really well. But then there's Avengers X-Sanctions...

I like Cable for the messianic stuff. Forget about his convoluted parentage and the ridiculousness of most of his visual designs and remember that this is a dude who got sent to the future, only to find it in such ruin that he decided to return to the past and do everything in his power to ensure that his future never comes to pass. I mean, yeah, they used exactly the same backstory for Bishop, but that's neither here nor there. It's a decent sci fi backstory, and when writers have had Cable really embrace the messianic overtones, it's worked pretty well. See Cable & Deadpool, the Joe Casey stuff, etc.

Only thing I like about him is this

It's so funny, and I like Deadpool

That was a great series. Only time i've found Deadpool good, outside of his first solo series and Deadpool MAX.

I enjoyed Cable in it also, because a bit of Wade rubbed off on him and the idea of these two polar opposites working together was really well executed. Like i said before, it was kinda like Riggs and Murtaugh's relationship from Lethal Weapon.

lots of different ops for the cable guy!

we go " Back to the Future" only they are not from some crazy dystopian world but... well look at it like this... it's like if Spiderman joined the fantastic 4 after the Torch had died and they all wear these crazy looking white HAZ mat suits it's..

THE FUTURE FOUNDATION

My favorite member of them died, and was replaced by a guy best a loner, unfortunately in more than one team at a time

They're fun as a team, but the original FF name and roster are better

I've really enjoyed Hickman's whole Fantastic Four/FF run, so I'm perfectly fine with them.

Nothing bad to say about the Future Foundation except their writer bored me out of my skull with his never ending story, so I left the book. The price of comics, constant double shipping and return of the FF title didn't help either. I've never been that big a FF fan to spend that much money.

Haven't read any of these. The Torch is my least favorite member of the FF (don't dislike him, just like the other 3 better) but I love when he and Spidey hang out so that kind of seems like wasted potential to me, although necessary I guess. I like the concept, though. Will try out the first trade soon since I'm a big Steve Epting fan.

i agree with this an extent( sue is my least favorite member) but the rest
They're fun as a team, but the original FF name and roster are better
hell yeah. There are heroes who i think just dont belong in a group like this. its not so much that he's a loner, but more of i always had a tough time seeing him fighting Galactus or in the negative zone. It's &^%$$# spider man. He's an urban avenger! Stopping muggers and guys name "the Kangaroo"( Thats why i think the " New Avengers group was the best group team wise for him). Him and the Xmen dont belong in space! Thats why i dont dig this line up and there's only 2 people in comics who look cool in white. The white Queen( cause shes a tramp) and Moon Knight( cause he will beat the (*&^ out you, if you laugh at him) Those outfits are lame. The Future F gets a 2 on the rocktor...oh and on top of it all now too. they cant use that cool " 4" signal flare anymore.Boooo That!

The Future Foundation is an excellent concept, although I'm looking forward to the central four's return to the Fantastic Four name and costumes. The Future Foundation could remain as something like Avengers Academy or the Jean Grey School, only for future big brains and super-scientists.

As far as the comic itself, the stories range from boring to intriguing, sometimes on an issue-to-issue basis. It's been mostly good since the Fantastic Four series returned alongside it, though, so I'm still reading them.

Great characters all, like the original FF better, and I'm sure Johnny will be back some day.

Yeah. I'm not sure why Spider-Man's still hanging around like the fifth wheel, though.

While I love the Fantastic Four, I've never really been into them, I guess. Its hard to explain. I guess I know enough of them to like them, but I rarely read anything F4, so...

Anyway, the FF is just the F4 with far cooler costumes, my least favorite member excluded, and Spider-Man just there. I hope at least those white costumes stay when the real F4 come ba--who am I kidding, those costumes will never be seen again...

Damn straight, nor should they be. Although, turn the white parts blue and replace the little hexagons with the "4," and they could be decent FF costumes.

next..
From the future to the past! These guys kicked sooo much NAZI ASS! Without them the war might've been lost I'm supposing! We all would've ended up walking around eating Bratwurst in Lederhosen! Welcome

THE INVADERS

I like Cap, I like Bucky, I...can like Namor, I can even take Hammond...in current continuity and without those...others.

Not really sure about the Future Foundation. Haven't read anything with them, but it looks almost like that "What if Spider-Man had joined the FF?" issue. I prefer the original four with the Torch. I don't know why they need to change their name completely when others (eg Crystal, Medusa, H.E.R.B.I.E, Luke Cage or She-Hulk) have often replaced a team member.

The costumes would look decent though if changed to blue as the Corpulent said, and given a 4 emblem instead.

As for the Invaders, they're cool. I liked it when they battled the Avengers in Nazi-invaded Paris in Avengers #71 during that Kang/Grandmaster cosmic game. That was one of my favourite comics.

They're ok. I have nothing against them personally. I'm just feeling negative about anything related to WWII Cap stories lately. They used to be here and there but Brubaker just won't let it go.

Cap's awesome, of course. Namor's pretty cool. I dig Union Jack but the comics I've read with him are few. Neutral on the Torch. Ditto young Bucky - I prefer the modern Winter Soldier version. Not very familiar with any of the other ones apart from vague recognition.

Yeah. I'm not sure why Spider-Man's still hanging around like the fifth wheel, though.

Because Johnny returned in the middle of a battle that they're still fighting.

And the Invaders are always awesome. Every damn time. Without exception.
