STD checkups

I switched to Trivora a few months ago...I like this kind so far

you're on the pill? I wouldn't trust a woman using the pill, what if she forgets or actually plans to get preggers but decideds not to tell you. damn spoons.

Well let's see...I hate children and I never want to have them, and I take my pill within the same 60 seconds every day. I'd get an abortion if by some freak chance the hormones in the pills failed me. So, I think we've got it covered.

Only someone in an immature and ****ty relationship would plan to get pregnant without telling their sig other. As for forgetting...it's called being mature and realizing the implications of not taking it properly.

If someone does that out of spite, I feel bad for the life of their child under such a mother :csad:

I lost my virginity to my first girlfriend back in High School and got the HPV virus :( didnt even know I had it until 5 years later when I got a bump.

So yea, get checked.

I need to get checked out.

I think many people put it off 'cause they are nervous about what they might find out, but that is no way to live your life.
Fxxk it am cool, hit me doc.

Just because you're never getting laid doesn't mean you're never getting an STD.

how's that possible?

an ex-friend of mine mentioned the same thing to me after i had been messing around with this girl. she told me i should get checked out, cuz you never know. i told her there was nothing to worry about, because i had never had sex with the girl, intercourse or oral. we really just did a lot of kissing and touching.

i've never been checked, as i'm still a virgin. and any girl i'd be with, i would probably recommend it myself to get checked, but i would happily comply if it was her idea as well. and of course, we'd both do it together.

it's not always a matter of distrusting the person you're with, it's distrusting the people that person has been with in the past.

Is it just done via a blood test? I've never been tested and want to.

Also, how much does it cost? Is it possible do a test which covers mostly everything?

What are you gonna do when you start having regular sex in a relationship then?

Diaphragm, condom, birth control, spermicidal lube, and throw in the morning-after pill everytime for good measure.

No, there's more than a blood test. If you're a male they stick a swab up your penis, if a female, you get swabbed as well.

Kinda sucks for me, 'cause I haven't had sex in the year since my girlfriend and I broke up, and I was kinda lookin' forward to some nice casual sex. Safe sex, mind you, but lots of it!!

I worry about the awkwardness of bringing it up with a potential partner, especially if it's a situation where it's someone I'm not planning on being in a relationship with, 'cause those kind of talks seem like they'd be an implication of wanting to be in a relationship. So either I've got a girl who just wants to smash, but thinks I want a serious committment, so she's freaked, or I've got the girl who wants a serious committment, and is led to believe I want the same, and I'm either stuck with a girlfriend I never wanted, or I break the poor girl's heart.

Don't get me wrong, reason will prevail, and I'll do whatever I can to keep my wang safe.

The cost depends on where you go. If you go to your local health clinic they'll do it free of charge. They'll do the blood work and the swab thing and give you a number. You'll need that number the next week you go in for your results. If you go to a regular doctor, then you can expect to pay out some money.

Even if someone is on the pill you still should wrap it up. Birth control is not 100% effective.:o

It's about 99.7% effective with perfect use. I'll take my chances lol. I agree though, unless you're in a committed relationship, you should still use a back up method.
