My wife and I had to use those when we first started having sex because she was allergic, as was her mother (which I don't know from experience). Luckily she got BC a month or so later, so we weren't spending paychecks on condoms.

Now she just has to make sure her workplace has latex-free gloves or her hands break out and get all blotchy.
