Did you like anything about the film?
Did you like anything about the film?
Just got back from a screening. This film definitely forgot the face of its father.
Feel free to ask questions.
Does Jake die, and if so, is it because Roland allows him to?
Yeah, **** this movie.Jake is the protagonist in this movie, so it feels like a YA adaptation. Jake lives.
I never read the books either, but I thought the trailer seemed interesting. They had my attention from the moment they started playing Ennio Morricone's locket theme from For a Few Dollars More hoping it would be a sci-fi/western love letter to Sergio Leone. Those are some of my favorite films. But I gather the final film here looks to be a disaster based on looking through this thread.
Yeah, **** this movie.
Thanks IW. If I could ask one more thing, how does the film end?
How was Elba?
As much as I appreciated the Morricone reference, it would have been better if they played, "The Court of the Crimson King." Come on. That's a given.
Is the song anywhere in the movie? Because if not, how do you **** that up???
Elba was good, but underused. Roland feels too much like a side character.
So this is what Game of Thrones would look like if you condensed 7 seasons into 90 mins. A silly mess
This sounds like a movie that was created not by a writer, but by a studio. The fact that Elba got the role of Roland should have been a warning sign.
The Man in Black. Matthew McConaughey is the best thing about the movie. Super charismatic.
