Yes, the Poltergeist remake failed because of the clown. Had nothing to do with the fact that it was an unnecessary remake of a classic that couldn't even match the scare quality of that decades-old film.

Where did I say you were nuts?

The last thing I want is for Jennifer Kent to be "rewarded" for The Babadook by being given a micro-managed, commercialized horror flick to push out on a studio mandate. It's no coincidence that the best horror films are coming out of the independent industry nowadays. The closest any studio has come to the likes of The Babadook, It Follows, and The Witch was The Conjuring, and even that film's legacy was tainted by ****** sequels.

- Child's Play 3
- Dead Silence
- Death Sentence
- Insidious
- The Conujuring
- Insidious: Chapter 2

The Conjuring and Death Sentence are the only ones worth any merit. The rest are tedious drivel.

I didnt say he was a genius. Find me a post where I said that

Youre making it seem like True Detective is some crappy drama. It's very well regarded by critics and audiences alike. It's 8 hours of very good media.

Also Jane Eyre and Sin Nombre seemed to be pretty well liked too. I havent seen them though.

I mean everyone has to start somewhere and Fukunaga has proven, from where he's started, to be a good director. I dont see the problem
