Stop Complaining Please! Is Anybody Else Sick of It?!

From my experience...30 people that I know all liked it so our little observations are both invalid. We tend to hang around others that hold our same interests. Therefore if you hated the movie...your friends most likely did too. I think the box office numbers show enough that most of America liked it. A C rating from a lot of critics isn't horrible as well. Still passable as a good movie but could have been better. But I agree about the poll...it would be biased here since we all compare the movie to past knowledge and events. The fact that it racked in over 400 million worldwide prior to dvd sales is a pretty good number.

As for the complaint threads...you will notice that there is all of about one totally pure positive movie review thread in here.

Um there is like one complain thread. All other threads that involve complaining are still on topic. PPL who liked the movie have there thread as well. This thread called for an obvious response and it was complaints.

Oh and Majority of the ppl did not like or dislike the movie we don't know what the majority of ppl think unless we hold a cross country poll. But i can guarantee you one thing there as just as many ppl who hated it as those who loved it. Otherwise there wouldn't be so much complaining .

From my experience out of like 50 ppl i knew that saw it, one person liked it.

I knew about 50 people who saw it both friends and family, and all liked or loved it but my Uncle.

I am sick of all these people, mostly comic book nerds that are putting down X-men: The Last Stand. C'mon. Let it go. They weren't true to the comics is what they say, but didn't Bryan Singer say that with X1 he wanted it to be set in the real world? Going to outer space would have made X3 suck. No one would believe that.

You don't need to go to space to make Dark Phoenix Saga work, imho. And I'm a comic book nerd. Fox just fcking blew the whole thing. They didn't respect the previous movies nor the comics. They were just pissed and angry. The result was what it was; a mish-mash.

NEWS JUST IN: X3 released three months ago, to a box office record. It arrives on DVD in about a month.

Those that hated it with the intensity I'm seeing on here - strangely renewed after a three-month gap - might now want to think about something more productive to do with their time.

So why is the hate rising again? Do the haters want somehow to stop/influence the DVD release or sales of the DVD? Is it because of something else? Boredom? Some other trigger factors - perhaps related to SR and things on the SR forums?

Unlike you, I don't let an injustice or bad service just slide and "let it be" because there's nothing I can do about it, especially when I KNOW there's something I can do about it. The more you wonder why people don't like the movie, the more you try to discourage people to just sit back and accept the tripe that's being thrown at them, the more you end up encouraging people like me, and the more I put into my effort. We both have agendas. Admit it. They're just on opposite sides of the spectrum. My agenda is to bring forth something from which everyone would ultimately benefit. Your agenda is to get us to sit idly by. And that isn't going to happen.

And further to this... If I ate a bad meal, I'd refuse to pay and make a scene (as i did recently on a holiday). If I buy something that is crap, I take it back. And i'm known for being someone who stands up and gets something done.

However, i wouldn't find a forum and twitter on there. I go to the source (shop/restaurant/garage) and get what I want, then I move on...

That's where you're wrong loyalist one.

X1 didn't deviate so much from the material that it alienated fans. Sure, some fans hated it and didn't like the darker tone, but the majority of fans enjoyed it because it represented the true message of X-Men and told a great emotional story.

The same applies to X2.

The fans(including myself) didn't get in a uproar because at the end of X2 we thought they would take it in the right direction, and obviously that didn't happen, due to the politics and greediness that is FOX studios.

On paper you'd be correct. But on the big screen? No. When you look at a lot of things on paper they look brilliant and could set up an amazing result.

You probably agree that a story as complex, emotional, tragic, and as powerful as the Phoenix Saga shouldn't be rushed just so they could beat Superman Returns to the theater.

Maybe it went in the right direction in terms of action; but in terms of storytelling and character development? No.

Only good thing about X3 was Beast, Cyclops(what little screen time he had), Magneto, Phoenix(Only because Janssen did a great job), and the music.

What really gets me angry and disgusted is how Kinberg, Penn, and Ratner just flat out lied to the fans in order to get us to see the film. When questions/concerns about Cyclops arose they started putting out recent pictures of Marsden in uniform, Marsden interviews, Cyclops poster of him at Alcatraz, and a Hugh Jackman interview stating that Cyclops isn't pushed to the background.

Then Kinberg saying that Angel, Colossus, and Rogue get to kick a lot of ass and have amazing stories.

To me this film was built on 100% hype and 100% empty promises/lies.

I disagree, I still feel that the overall direction of the movie was the right direction, even if the execution was wrong in a couple places.

Yes, we can all ***** about Cyclops getting taken out, and Rogue getting the cure, but aside from that, I felt the movie was right.
