Revenge of the Fallen Story Spoilers from ShoWest (WARNING: Spoiler Extravaganza)

"This is a shock to us here at Dreamworks. We are NOT asking you to remove this info [maybe a few months ago we would have] but we will clear some up for you.

I will say that most of the info is correct but some is not:

- The robot that is fighting Bumblebee is NOT "Scrapper" because if you look closely he is seen by the wall [yellow bot] when Shia & Megan jump from the blast of Starscream. We aren't revealing if the red bulldozer has a name just yet. Around 10 bots will be nameless.

- 2 Decepticons do NOT give up their spark for the return of Megatron. It is just one. If you look through TF mythology this won't come as a surprise. This character willingly sacrifices himself.

- A lot of people speculate that the tank tracks on Megatron are from Brawl--they are NOT. His tank tracks are cybertronian metal and that is the reason most of his body has rust but the tracks do not. He is built from deceased Decepticons but not from the Laurentian Abyss. There is a double-meaning to the name Long Haul [think back to his F.A.B. toy bio]

- Isabel's character is NOT a human form for Ravage. I will not say who but think back to the videos I am sure you have seen with the crew & the puppet-like minion. Ravage actually has nothing to do with the college aspect. Soundwave enlists someone else for that job. All I can say is this...Ravage is far to big [unlike the info you have] to be Isabel.

- There isn't a character in the film named "Gridor" because it indeed is Blackout. We had that toy made because we weren't going to show him until this final trailer and we felt if the toy was leaked with that name [we were right] it would ruin the surprise. Mike insisted on the scene with him in it for the Vegas footage. Fans will indeed see a Blackout toy after the release of the film.

- Starscream does have re-inforcements however there are only 3 that accompany him. They also use the same scanning technique. If you remember, we had an original artwork with Soundwave in his satellite mode where meteor bots are flying by. Ehren came up with the idea like teletraan 1 for the Autobots. This is but one of the many things Soundwave adds to this film. Mike loved this idea because it saves time on having each individual bot scan & transform. That was a secret of ours however, one of our biggest secrets is now revealed regarding Barricade. As Mike would say...the cat's out on that one. The crew knew the cop car would draw attention on set hence the reason there wasn't a confirmed set-picture---the car is CGI for roughly 3 seconds before a transformation to robot form occurs.

The rest of the info is indeed accurate along with the info on Jazz. We knew a lot of people wanted him to show up but if everyone returned it defeats the purpose of having tragedy in the franchise---same with Brawl & Bonecrusher.

I'm sorry if any info has been spoiled for you but the great thing about our dedication to this film was for each and everyone of the fans out there. We listened to all the good & bad comments over the past couple of years. Enjoy the film!!"

:yay:

It's a great thing to hear that almost everything is true. Especially the info about Soundwave, Barricade, Blackout, Starscream and Megatron.

I just don't get it... that even these officials at Dreamworks are now calling Devastator from the first film as Brawl! I do hope it will be changed in some future special edition of the film.

Wait a minute... this movie has a story?...

I don't know how Sam fits in all this, but the general plot will be The Fallen trying to activate the Sun Harvester to re-energize the Allspark so he be granted its power. How Fallen is awakened from hi Sarcophagus.. Maybe that's where Sam comes in and his mental meltdown?

Can be.

About the Devastator. I've read that, in Set, Michael Bay called some robots by the wrong names (Like Frenzy, that he called Soundwave). One of them was Brawl, that he called Devastator. One of the subtitlers confused the names because of that and put "Devastator" on Brawl's subtitle.

Doubtfull. In the cemitery scene, Sam's using black pants and a black shirt. It's the same outfit he's wearing when Optimus is fighting Megatron, Starscream and Blackout, and I doubt they'd put that as the final battle.

If you look closely, you can see the woods in the cemitery.

No offense, but time to get those eyes checked......... Sam's sporting black on black at the cemetery and black shirt on blue jeans in that Prime vs. Meg/SS/BO scene.......and it's not even the same shirt.......

I don't need credibility for analysis. I'm guessing, just like everyone else. The clothes look similar.

Okay, there is only one Decepticon I know of that is showing up in this movie that is that loyal to "Lord Megatron." I see Soundwave as the sacrifice. This would explain his apparent absence so far. Could be wrong, but who else is that blindly loyal to Megatron?

^^ I also fear that Soundwave will sacrifice himself, and I don't like it one bit.

^Thats what worries me, I dont want Soundwave showing up and then dying virtually straight away to resurrect Megatron. As we have havent seen Soundwave in the final battle at egypt in any of the footage, this also worries me that he gives his life to bring Megatron back. If they do this, it will SERIOUSLY piss a lot of Soundwave fans off.

Similar, but not the same. Gives a tremendous amount more credence to the Simmons burial. Somebody has to die in this movie. It's silly to have no significant casualties. That takes away from the emotional inner-connectivity.

Ehhhhh we haven't seen a lot of things yet. Don't put too much credence into the fact that you haven't seen SW in the miniscule Egypt trailer clips.

I think we know at this point that Starscream has alternate agendas and would never give his life for Megs.

I don't think anyone in their right minds would ever think that Starscream would give his own life to bring back Megatron :woot:

Who else in TF lore is more loyal to Megatron than Soundwave? The spoilers state the TF who gives his spark is loyal to Meg's in TF law. The only other one I could think of is Scorponok, yet he has been seen at the final battle in Egypt in the trailers.

What if Soundwave uses on of his minions to sacrifice his allspark? Wouldn't they be as loyal to Megatron as Soundwave himself?

Not necessarily, but they are loyal to Soundwave. However, I see Soundwave believing it is a great honor to give his life for his leader. Sorry guys, but I think Soundwave is a goner. Too bad, cause he is an interesting character.

If that's the case, then Bay sure deserves all the bashing he will get.

I understand the picture you're trying to paint about loyalties, but Soundwave is too important to the plot this time around. They tried hard as h*ll to fit him into the first one, but weren't able to. It's just my opinion, but there's no way possible they sacrifice such a legendary character so early on after finally getting screen time. Just doesn't make any sense to me.

I think when you're talking about loyalties you're splitting hairs. Everyone but SS was obviously loyal to Megs. They're all his worker ants.

Getting too paranoid people.

Bay's been listening to us on many subjects believe it or not. They're not going to killl off the 3rd most popular transformer ever so quickly.
