Subtle things you want in the movie

I'd love to see Rors's origin.

I know it won't happen, you can't really drown a hooker in draino in a pg-13 movie.

(Which is only what i'm assuming it'll be, because that's what everyone shoots for now-a-days.)

The movie will definitely be R. It has been confirmed multiple times. Hell, they're showing Doc Manhattan's blue penis on screen.

You couldn't possibly do a PG-13 Watchmen. The idea is laughable.

that's exactly what I need to see to make this movie for me! hahahaha jk
but seriously the comedian and ozymandias fighting when they first meet at the docks, dan and laurie's scene talking about captain carnage, dr manhattan and hollis talking about electric cars as hollis retires, max and hira, ozymandias' speech in the beggining of chapter 11.

but I know i'm asking for too much.

and i'd love to see all of the inbetween parts as well too.

Those goddamn airships would MAKE this movie.

You can see them in the trailer, when the owlship comes out of the river, there are airships in the background. Also, the background of the offical website has airships passing by in the sky.

Got my wish. :O

Are you kidding around? He doesn't drown a hooker in draino.

The dream Nite-Owl has with him and Silk Spectre kissing when an explosion goes off and all you see is their skeletons.

- Rorschach actually being witty
- A subtle and not in-your-face obvious villain in Veidt as he appears in the teaser.
- Not so much the movie, but in general they should be more subtle when the cast and crew address the plot instead of spilling everything before it opens. I know you can just read the book to know the plot, but still...

Here's one I can't believe I never caught until just now: "Silk Spectre's too girly, yknow. Plus I want a better costume, that actually protects me. Maybe something leather with a mask over my face. Plus, maybe I should carry a gun."

Same with me! I was rereading it, and I got to that part I was like "I really don't remember this line..." But of course now they can't have her say "something leather" as the costume is leather and not silk like in the GN.

The advertising zeitgeist. Meltdowns, Nostalgia, then the shift to the "This is the time. These are the feelings" Millennium posters. Also the Borsh'nBurgers (?) new takeaway.

Headlines about the events in alternate history. Woodward & Bernstein, fuel cells etc

Keep the majority of the backstory for each of the supporting characters on the curb (Bernies, Dr. Long, Joey and her girlfriend, the two detectives) so that the big event still has relevance.

Strongly agreed, this really needs to be on the DVD if nothing else.

what's so special about the Gordion Knot guys though? I know what a Gordion Knot is, is there anything more to it?
