Subtle things you want in the movie

Every lock that Rorschach breaks is a Gordion Knot lock. Ozymandias considers Alexander's cutting the Gordion Knot in two to be "lateral thinking" and envisions himself and his plan as such.

ah, cool, I actually didn't know it came from Alexander. thanks.

I'd like to see some really cool shots of Rorschach's ink blots moving and shifting:woot:

I'd like to see this in there, but confused how they'll "read out" the journal?
Rorschach will narrate. I think the first time he does it, they'll show him sitting somewhere and writing in his journal while he says "Rorschach's journal, October 18th 1986, [monologue]", so every other time he does his monologue (even without the opening "Rorschach's journal"), people will know he's writing it.

im wondering if/how they will use all of the "book inside the book" like "under the hood" and rorscachs case file, the letters between ozy and his toy rep.

also....i LOVE this book (i just finished it the other day)...but i cant shake the feeling that the ending is going to leave a bad taste in alot of peoples mouths. i guess thats the whole point of it...im just concerned that people wont "get it" and will go on comparring the movie to "i am legend" and say that the movie was good but they didnt like the ending.

as long as the scene were dan and laurie cant make pove without the mask's are in there....the movie is nothing without that scene lol.

cant help but wonder...how will they handle bubastis? in the end the character (can you call her that?) did seem kind of pointless. if adrien was so smart he would have known that Doc could reassemble himself and killing his cat would have been for nothing. plus, why send the damn cat into the machine in the 1st place?

He just hoped that it would Kill Manhattan. Bubastis was just in the wrong place, wrong time.

He can always afford another Bubastis. And what other way could you possibly kill Dr. Manhattan? I guess it was worth a shot. He was feeling confident because the tachyon generator had thrown the Doc off, and he also successfully got him to leave the planet.

arrogant bastard lol...i think my biggest question about that scene is...where the hell did laurie get that gun? as far as i knew she didnt carry one with her, and that suit certainly doesnt look to have any pocket ;)

^
Laurie carried a pretty big bag with her while walking in the snow, large enough to hold that gun, also the contents are strewn across the floor as she shoots Veidt, as if she took something out.

I really want to see the Comedian burning the world map, the hydrogen atom earrings, Laurie dropping the snow globe and Rorschach's line to Nite Owl "You quit".

Malcolm Long
Ozymandias dolls on Veidt's desk
"This is what you like, huh? This is what gets you hot..."
Manhattan making himself into a darker blue for the tv interview
Rorschach pouring syrup onto a menu and making an inkblot
Sally Jupiter's tijuana bible

Just off the top of my head.

She got it when she and Manhattan were wandering around the city's ruins. On page 8, chapter 12. She had a big handbag with her for some reason.

I'd love to see newsvendor Bernie say the line 'I bet there's all stuff we never notice' whilst Walter is searching the bins in the background. I only noticed that after several readings :)

Also Dr. Manhattan staring at Salvador Dali's The Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory.

The fight with the lesbians and everybody trying to help out.

The story the kid reads at the newsstand played out

She picks it up in NYC a few scenes before.

their doing an animated version of black freighter to be released before the movie...voice by gerard butler:yay:. though i hope it has a significant place in the movie as well. especially adriens line about his dream "that im swimming towards a giant...nevermind" i loved that

p.s. how long till we get watchmen smileys?

yeah I'm kinda concerned how the final street scene with the lesbians will be included. I hope it's there and it's not TOO subtle

.

I'd like to see the Drano incident.

Even though it's pretty sick. But i mean, that's just rors life.

She took it off a dead cop in NYC when her and Dr. Manhattan stopped there before Antarctica.

What in the hell are you talking about? You said this earlkier and refused to elaborate, I've read the GN over 2 dozen times, and I dont recall anything with Rorschach killing a hooker with Drano.

He doesn't. But there is such a murder in the book.

i want the ending of chapter one with dan and laurie conversation, with the whole "what do you expect the comedians dead" line i like that part alot.
