The only problem with that is a user could potentially flame another, then delete it before a mod ever sees it.

Then maybe have the post be able to be deleted for only like...2 minutes (You know, a time limit)

When I was red, I'd delete a double post every time I noticed one. And it's no trouble, really. Allowing users the ability to delete their own posts is a bad, bad idea.

I figured the mods would get annoyed if the report option was used just for double posts.

If I remember correctly, you could delete your posts before, just not the first post of a thread.

To echo what Bamf said, I think the majority of us go ahead and delete double posts when we see them.

something that has always bothered me on boards and chat rooms....someone gets infracted or warned and they get an IM or PM from a mod....poster than posts that IM in the thread or chat and gets in further trouble...Ive never liked this because Im a fairly open person

I'm asking because this site seriously needs to cut down the bull **** lag. My computer is pretty new and I have no problems loading any websites that involved a lot of pictures or flash on the main page as well as almost any other message board.

When I click the "Post Quick Reply" button and it just sits there loading forever...that's ridiculous.

Is there any possible way to fix this constant problem?

Yea the lag has been increasing again recently.

I understand that, but if the poster in trouble wants to share what happened, I don't see why that's a problem if the mod was in the right and did everything they were supposed to

That is different from posting PM. We have specific regulations against that...

You either go none or all, and I think going all is the only way to go with PMs...
