I don't know, but considering how many half-hours are in the day (48, to be exact,) it's understandable that there will be times where not a single moderator is online. And having European moderators won't make much of a difference since it can't be guaranteed that they'll always be online when the American moderators aren't.

Besides, there's a few of us who are up quite late, and a few of us who are up quite early. There are very few times when the forum goes unmoderated.

Because they have no idea what is really involved in being one.

Is it really that hard reading 1,345 complaint PMs. Coming into threads and being condescending. Escalating situations when you're supposed to be calming them. Throw out probations and infractions for cuss words and being mean.

To be fair, we can't help it if someone sees a mod and suddenly decides to 'fight the power'. We do our best to calm situations, but some posters raise the rhetoric after a mod gets involved on purpose.

that's stuff I do normally...I have a decent relationship with all the mods here, except for Bamf...it's because I know where the line is and the one prob ban I did get, I totally deserved and am proud of it

You're right, we don't have a "decent relationship" - mainly because you choose not to. But I'm apathetic, really, as you're not someone I really care to be buddies with. Now, what I found funny was that you said you have a "decent relationship" with the rest of the staff. Last time I checked, a relationship took two people. Hmm.

well Matt and I get along well due to our love of sports, same with ImmortalFire...Marx and I are friendly enough in the Political thread...I've had pleasant interactions with Kel, DBella, and CC

Corp and I hang in the same DC thread and he's fun sometimes

I really don't have anything bad to say about any of the mods here...I know some posters are very "Rebel Without a Cause"....not my thing

Exactly! Obviously I've never been a mod but I've heard SOOOO many great things from Bamf about being a mod! lol

Indeed, that's happened quite often.
