This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]517801[/split]
is it weird that I'm really upset they cutHarley playing bartender? totally loved her "whatcha havin?" and "what about you hot-stuff?....that's a good idea honey" and "hope ya got insurance" during bat mobile chase
Same. That was so disappointing. That was a good character beat, no need to cut down that. They cut all that out, too? FFS.

I just don't see Damon as Deathstroke.
Hush? Maybe. Harvey Dent/Two Face? Sure.
I think that boils down to people wanting a heavy dose of Joker and not getting it. It's the Harley Quinn show here, not Jokers. I think people are going to miss it (and some probably will) because expectation is to see more of the duo, but here, Joker is kind of just reacting rather than full on having a bigger lead like we're use to seeing him. The love is there, but it's vividly imaginable to me to see Leto's Joker not hesitating to kill anybody, including Harley, but not before having some wise-cracks and some good 'ol fun.

I spent half the movie wondering why the Justice League wasn't taken care of the giant "circle of death" problem

Yup. which is weird considering they reportedly wanted more of that "lighter tone" - I'm telling you, this is BEGGING for an UC that I don't think we are gonna get. Just another hour of deleted scenes like Ayer's previous films.
The scene is still there it's just they cut that particular part out

Leto's Joker a huge let down. Not scary, not anything. Would have been better as Joker copycat, b/c that's what he felt like. #SuicideSquad
Did she stay for the middle-credits? SSQuad takes place right after BvS. Bruce is still on the meta-human trail. Justice League isn't formed. Her tweet is invalid hate dribble.
You should get that SCENE card from ScotiaBank. Will see the movie Friday night, regular 2D though. I'm saving my points for an actual IMAX movie like Nolan's next baby.
That's exactly right, and frankly, it's strange that some people can't understand that.
With the way it's presented in the film, it can be argued that Joker views Harley as any one (or all) of the following (which I actually saw on another site weeks ago unrelated to the movie):
A Toy: Joker sees Harley as his creation, and one of his most special ones. He broke Harley apart and remade her into his own image and continues to manipulate and bend her to his will, delighting in watching her strive to please him. When Joker is bored, he can play games with Harley and she will always play back, willingly and with pleasure. He can hurt her and draw her back to him with well-chosen words and deeds. He knows that every time Harley makes an effort to break away it is simply a matter of twisting the screws in the precise way to have her groveling once more.
A Mirror: Harley, in both her insane devotion and her adoration of him, is a mirror to The Joker's ego. Highly narcissistic, Harley would provide proof to him of his own genius and brilliance; both in the very fact of her existence and because she willingly tells him so and fervently believes it herself. Similar to above, a Joker in a funk could take one look at Harley and start chuckling again as she stares at him with wide, adoring doe-eyes. Harley is his, body and soul, and that must be immensely gratifying to someone as egotistical as The Joker, especially considering the ease with which he controls her.
A Loved One: Not in any normal, healthy way. But in his way, as much as he is capable of. Some fans feel that “love” is too strong a word for The Joker. Nonetheless, that he does feel some sort of affectionate emotion towards him. Her uniqueness in response to him penetrated something very deep and buried within Joker's psyche and brought it back to life; a faint glimmer of tenderness consumed by layers of darkness and depravity.
The Joker here is more like the impression I get of the Joker when looking at Bill Sienkiewicz’s water color paintings and abstract inks of the Joker. Madness in brief. The Joker here feels like Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein Monster… only he doesn’t need Victor to make a bride for him, he’ll do it himself. As he transforms her, he finally feels complete in his own fractured sense of madness. He wants her… needs her… Harley feels less needy. Harley is able to function just fine in her cage, with the Squad, in the midst of combat, watching the world burn. Harley is in her element at all times. The Joker wants her back and she does miss her Mr. J and wants to be reunited, but I never get the idea she’s counting the seconds or particularly missing him, until she thinks he’s gone. This Joker and this Harley Quinn could carry 30 movies. The peek at domestic bliss between Joker & Harley that the Enchantress gives Harley is a drug so powerful it sways her. A dream undreamt, but once seen… never forgot.

Thoughts on what Donna Dickens said?
Also here Harry Knowles thoughts on Joker/Harley
who is donna dickens? Why do you seem to care so much about what other people think or say about the movie, or what people think about what other people think? You're constantly posting tweets and things about the movie, many of which seem to be from random people on twitter.
You already seem to know everything there is to know about the film. Are you going to see the movie for yourself?
